But, thanks for the game, Zig. Don't think I thanked you yet.

Thanks for the game Zigmen. I had fun, even though I was obviously hopelessly crap. But hey, that kept me alive

THanks Zigmen, great game, you were far from crap Nelli, your only mistake was suspecting me. I am always town, and you should never suspect anything else.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I think you were right, once the seer outs he's a target, so you need to get a couple of views before outing.Magicziggy wrote:Sooo, I kept the seer view of Oblivion from night 1 until Day 3.
Irre pulled me up on it continually.
Discuss.
My first game as seer I got a scum view on Feck on night one and didn't out until day 4 when I had two cleared town views to go with it.
Don't think he's forgiven me for that one yet, he mentioned it in the last game, or early this one.

Re: Monopoly Final Results
you did some good analysis in this game. It takes time to learn what's signiificant and what isn't in terms of people's behaviors in the threads. And you weren't the only person who occasionally barked up the wrong tree, not by a long shot.nellikin wrote:Thanks for the game Zigmen. I had fun, even though I was obviously hopelessly crap. I thought you played an excellent second game. And I felt really bad about some of your questions in this game, because it was stuff that I should have mentioned when I mentored you. It just didn't come up in the hide and seek game, mostly due to the non-standard town specials.
Re: Monopoly Final Results
Massively impressed with irre this game.
Re: Monopoly Final Results
nellikin really finding her feet
Re: Monopoly Final Results
mantis and squid were great scummates - lots of communication
Re: Monopoly Final Results
Nelli has got the Paranoia required to play mafia very well ! I would like to play on a scum team with her and see if she can dish out the wifom as well as she can see the potential Wifom in a game .

Re: Monopoly Final Results
Yeah, I thought it might be interesting to see my squirrelly little brain at work. Indie roles aren't all that common, so I thought it might give folks ideas on different approaches if they ever get one.
My first indie role, I was a silencer. my night action would prevent a player from posting or voting the next day. I spent the early part of the game trying to get a silence on record and the players I picked were either protected or killed every night. by the end of the game, I had boxed myself in - there were only 2 players I could silence and I was one of them. I thought I was going to be the NK so I silenced myself instead of the other player, who was town. It was the wrong choice.
That was a learning experience for me. I had made my final action what I thought the town players would want me to do, rather than doing what I thought was the best available action for town (and for me).
Since then, I've followed my own judgement a lot more when I'm indie. This game was a bit of a reversion.
