adenosine convinced me he was town before day one end-day and I never seriously doubted him through weeks of day-by-day gameplay. A two-plus month long mafia game at freethought-forum. Irretating claims Adenosine's playing the same game here. I'm uncertain. I couldn't face wading through a 4000-plus post thread to deconstruct how he fooled me so thoroughly. Even if I did the homework, I'm not sure I'd be sufficiently innoculated to catch him at his sneaky, treacherous, fairhaired best another time.

Nah, that's not true, of course I would, but I'd be less certain of success and that would leak through.

Just a recap on my scum game there; I started championing a townie (Jerome) who was going to be lynched and pushing for a lynch on one of his wagon drivers, another townie. The competing wagon that I helped build came damn close to overtaking Jerome so I absconded and let it collapse. Jerome got lynched, I got town cred for defending him, we went on to lynch two of the town people who were driving the Jerome wagon. Later in the game I built two awesome cases against town players based on some slightly offbeat things they had said and a lot of "analysis". It started falling apart towards the end but we made it through, only losing one scum I think, out of five of us. That was the best game of Mafia I have ever played and I loved every second of it. My ego gets inflamed every time I think of that.

It also made me a much better town player. Having come up with such devious plans enabled me to see other that other people could also come up with equally devious plans.

Anyway, I'm fine with Irre trying to finger me, it's helping me get a better read on her.

About her possibly thinking ksen was town while essentially voting to lynch him yesterday (though she didn't vote).

Not exactly. Firstly, I was asking, and then it was whether or not that's a viable take on the particular squabbles, if it's better to read them as busses or something else entirely? Is that what you want me to address?

Because, I'm town, so I don't know for certain the alignment of anyone else. I feel adenosine is scum, and I think mantis is scummy, but less so than adenosine. Both could well be scum. It's possible (but unlikely IMO) that both could be town. So, your dichotomy certainly doesn't hold.

So you maybe think both Aden and Mantis are scummy?

Grit, I have already said that in an earlier post. I know you're trying to scumhunt (or be seen to scumhunt) but asking me about people I think are scum will just get the same answer.

Back from some attempts at work, shopping, dinner. About to head to do some more work since I spent way too much time hitting refresh over the past two days on the clock. Number one suspect for me is irre. I am also looking closer at UT, Mantis, Feck, and now grit. Am still suspicious of ksen but he is lower on the list. gib and Ade I still have in the town column, and Ob is cleared in my mind.

I'd really like your answer on my question too, Bili. Do you have any thoughts on whether it may be either but not both Irre or Aden, or Irre or Mantis - on how their squabbles read to you?

Ah grit, you're slipping from my townie pile to my unsure pile. Could it be that Irre and I are town or are you setting up an Irre lynch today preparatory to an Adenosine or Mantis lynch tomorrow? With the excuse that "Irre was town*, therefore..."

*Not that I'm convinced of this but I'm heading that way. She's putting a lot of effort into something that I just can't twist my mind to see. Scum have easier targets to pick out.

It's simply too difficult to engage in my favorite pastime of sledging irretating under my current constraints, even when I'm certain she's trying to tweak me, as in this post.

As in, you decided in the first game night to start the irre case, and yes it was an easy target, given you can use the leverage of oblivion - and bili by association - who are already unsure of me. I was just waiting to see who would try to start stitching me up, and voila! you appeared. Why did you not have a vote down until very late in the day? *

*I'm pretty sure this is the case, because when bili asked if it was usual to have no-voters, it was you, mantis and diva all without a vote down.

Actually I presently think Mantis is scum and Irre is scum, but last night I came to feel goodish about Irre being townish, which changed today for me. Mantis had an epic scum buss in the Ratz kingmaker game, so I'm trying to figure out if that's what's happening here. I'm personally not seeing it (an effective buss, that is), but I don't trust my read about it.

As for not having a vote down I was reading and following. And as I said I had tried posting at one point but kept getting blocked by in-between posters. So instead I went and read the thread again. And came up with Denny and grit as suspects. Which I mentioned in my post. As I was typing the grit revelations came out but I'd typed the bloody thing and I was going to post it dammit. Then I dealt with the grit slip, voted for him and afterwards voted for Denny. So while the number of my votes was low, the quality was good.

I was asleep for the entire game day today (as it happened, what with zigmen godkilling diva and stopping it early) so the additional inputs were the result of the night's actions (Aza killed, and my being blocked, don't worry you won't believe that til I flip town but keep it in mind) and what everyone else was saying. Nothing to do with anything I said or did. Ob pointed out that Aza had said if he died overnight, I was scum. Take that as gospel, just like him saying diva was scum. Oh.. wait...

As for the other inputs, it was adenosine who started the irre thing in the night chat. Just remember that.
