too many times we have given scum a free ride by not voting for non posters or very low posters in the first few days . Argument and counter recursive fos'ing between the few players that raise their heads while Scum take it easy .

Why Gallstones for mayor?

Feck is something of a default vote at Ratz. Playing it safe?
I thought that Gall does not have alot of input most times and if se were to be viewed it may weed out a scum player early without them hanging on till the end. Whaddya think? good idea?

Feck seems to be quiet on the past few games and I was dead wrong about him last game.

Unvote Feck

People who have not lynchvoted:
totals, morticia, gallstones, Charlou, Normal

People who have not mayorvoted:
totals, feck, mononoke, morticia, ghat, oblivion

That means totals and morticia have not committed votes of any sort. I think they both made one post so far.
I really hate voting to lynch on day one as it is a crapshoot. I prefer to wait for some information to come out first.

This is one of the worst fallacies in mafia.

The way you get information on day 1 is by putting pressure on people and seeing how they react.

I'm not assuming anything. Just pointing out that it is difficult to distinguish between scum and specials in terms of day one activity unless you have additional information.
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Code: Select all

// Replaces with spaces the braces in cases where braces in places cause stasis
   $str = str_replace(array("\{","\}")," ",$str);

Your assuming a conclusion there. My goal is for the quiet ones to participate. Being too quiet for town to get a read is anti-town.
This is a good point.
Putting pressure on the wallflowers seems a good tactic when there is little to go on.

It can be difficult. but it's not just on the other town players to give the quiet ones a pass. part of learning how to play special roles is learning not to do any of the obvious mistakes: freak and fade, overconfidence, complete lack of fear of lynch, etc.

There is still quite a few hours before a decision has to be made. I will commit to a vote by the end of the day. In the mean time I want to see what happens.

I do appreciate the advice and the tips.

Making note of this - it's considered a classic scum tell in some mafia environments, though there are players will say this kind of stuff when town. I read the last two day 1's that Gallstone played here at Ratz. She didn't make this sort of comment, but she was under a bit of lynch pressure on day 1 in both games.

Not conclusive. but concerning.

The totals bandwagon shouldn't get too much steam, especially as we near the end of the day.

There are some good reasons to be suspicious of Charlou and higgs2 at the moment.
