I would still like to see bili strung up soone rather than later.
So ksen. Why does gonzo look scummy to you? Or are you just lock stepping with Zigman?

I'm sure somebody said "Hello Jerome!" earlier. Maybe they were wrong.

In any case, I realize people in various parts of the world are getting sleepy. So am I, though it's still reasonable for me (1:10 am, but I work nights and didn't get home til a couple of hours ago - this is my "evening," so to speak).

But for tomorrow? Should one or more Special Roles out? Would that help or hurt, in the opinion of Town? There must be protection in the mix, and maybe it can let us move forward to that triangulation stuff. We've got to do something more than snipe at one another.
1) The Jerome reference was an in-joke for those of us who also play at TR.
2) No, specials should not out! Are you mad? Your job as town is to see the tells, and figure out if they are likely town special or scum based on their game play. If you think you found a town special, and you are town, shut up about it!
In-jokes are charming and interesting during the banter segments of pre-play and after-play. For people who are playing seriously, and also happen not to be in whatever "in" group, I think it's detrimental.

And, no, I'm not mad. There's a couple of hours left to this day, and I assume Gonzo will be lynched unless something very odd happens. He'll be Town or Scum. I have no idea at this point and I'd be willing to bet a lot of the rest of us are in the same boat. Even you. Dare you to say one way or another. Really.

I've believe a Special (or at least confirmed Town) can be a sounding-board for planning, especially considering there must be some sort of protection at hand. Nightson was the Seer. There must be a protector of some sort, too. Even if it's only good for one day, wouldn't that be helpful? For heaven's sake, if we did a poll right now, I'd bet none of us 100% trust anyone else. I know I don't.
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

irretating wrote:Zig one of the failings of you new game is that you will necessarily always look scummy. It makes it hard for town to decide about you. And I'm sure you know that and you think the plus is that you can play the identical game as scum.
Funny thing is, I've always been terrible at Mafia. Bad reads, bad logic, no teamplay, trollying, etc.

I never claimed I was any good. I much prefer to run games, and that was largely how I got my start at Ratz.

But, as a player, I first fixed my problem with posting Walls of Text (mostly). Then i learned to leave some questions unasked, if the answers would benefit Scum more than Town. Then, i fixed my Scum game and tried to get it to mirror my Town game, which I have had some success with.

Now, I'm learning to affiliate myself to players I see as Town. I'm sure I'm overdoing it as I test out the prospects of this new approach.

If my Town game looks Scummy, ultimately it will be more because my Scum game looks like my Town game.

I'm just trying to polish my Town game to the point where I'm no longer a burden on players who take the game seriously.

And I haven't really been yelled at for a while, so i guess I'm improving a bit.

So, this is the best I've got, and I'm trying to get better.

Or was that bravado for yesterday when you thought you might be able to push an easy lynch on me? Is that misguided, often wrong town Dean or is it trying to take advantage, overplaying your hand scum Dean?
Bumped for Zigman's selective reading.
And?

Do either of you guys really think this is helping Town find Scum? Honestly?

Yes, Bilirubin, I just realized that I was off by an hour. We only have one hour to plan. Can we please plan?

OK. We don't have a seer. Which is a shit because there are some players more not playing than playing and a seer could've tidied them up.

I'd like to lynch Aza tomorrow. But I'd settle for higgs or FF or ksen. Higgs could well just be hampered by her time constraints, and some of her posts have looked town, but really it's hard to get a town read from the posts. The others? Following each other or just putting an easy vote and hittin' da club.

Thoughts?

I think I'm helping. People want to know why my game is so different, and they should understand the reasons.

I've made my points about those I'm spooked by, and I've asked decent questions all around.

Bili, otoh, is casting FoSes at everyone, making odd assumptions, and is pinging like crazy.

So, please don't lump me in with him as "you guys."

I'm ignoring his pleas for a sig bet he should have taken last night and trying to move forward.

Oh and just to get this down before day end. I'm starting to wonder if there are lovers or masons. FF, ksen and Aza are doing weird lockstep voting. Aza leads out and the others follow. I'd guess Aza and FF. Or Aza and ksen perhaps.

I think it's too late for tonight. We have to accept the inevitable, and be brave tomorrow. Tell our tells and let the chips fall where they may. Town, protect me tonight, please.

I agree about Aza looking Scummy. FF too, but not as much. I can't read Higgs well, so i have no clue.

I'd lynch Bili first, though.
