I'd still like to know why you picked UT out of thin air, Feck. I know he was a no show, but there are others.
Which no show was I meant to pick ? ,or should I have picked one of the ones that posted a lot (hiding in plain sight ???) or someone that only posted once ?
or pick a side between Zig and OB ? or maybe I should have taken the easy way out asked for a vote so I could blame others if they chose wrong ?

How many times has it been said if you snooze you lose ? I picked one of the no shows ....I picked wrong .
There was a discussion about this. Why didn't you join in?

I had thought of asking for 'votes' actually ..but I think I might wait and see what you all post about first feel free to point fingers and generally betray yourselves .

but that would waste a day Jinx ..I don't think I will be awake all night so it won't be a full 24hrs .
Not that that helps much.

Vote Oblivion

Cuz she should know this better than anyone and seems to be ignoring it.
Why is chat bad?

Feck, it's not your choosing wrongly that concerns me - we all do that!

What's puzzling is that I was catching up with the thread and seeing lots of good, positive stuff about voting for the lynch as usual, with the peasants having the chance to give their input to help the King in his (very difficult) choice, and then - WHAM! out of nowhere, Execute UT!

Day One over, with some folks (like me, and UT himself) still thinking they had plenty of time to contribute to the game.

I'd like to hear your reasoning for ending the day so quickly, apparently on a whim.

Because at the moment, it looks like you're scum and have said Fuck you lot, I'm king and I'm going to waste a townie right now, just because I can.

I didn't join in on purpose because that would have told the assassins how I was going to pick someone !

I think I see where Zigmen is coming from as talk generates 'wifom' , but if nobody talks the kingmaker and indeed the King don't have much info .

Sorry for ending the day early a few hours early I was tired ,look how late I slept this morning ! There was no way I was going to wake up for the end of the day even if I set the alarm . I am aware that nobody else sleeps when playing Mafia of course .

Perhaps you could explain to me where Zigmen is coming from as he isn't prepared to tell me.

:dunno:

But if he's advocating that we all take a vow of silence in the interests of not generating WIFOM, then all I have to say on the subject is: fuck that shit!

I don't see how this is to much different than a standard mafia game regarding chat.

Day 2 on the way
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Kingmaker day two

You find the body of Callan expertly stabbed in the lane behind the pub. Callan was a villager. The kingmaker has made oblivion king for a day.

Good morning all, it seems all of us villager may need to contribute a little more to help the king decide. While I see where Zigmen is coming from with the staying quiet it does not benefit town much if everyone does so. Assassins can just hide out that way. If everyone chooses to post wisely and not make fluffy and/or otherwise useless posts it shouldn't create too much clutter in the thread and will give Oblivion much more to work with then Feck had.

I think the king maker should try using his/her postion to the best possible effect. It just occurred to me that it can be used as a tool to catch scum out. Anyone using dodgy reasoning for their execution pick is going to look dodgy.

Also, I'm not so sure if posting is going to work in town's favour for this style of game. It's too easy for scum, should one of them be crowned king, to execute a silent innocent and hide behind that excuse.

I think this game needs a fresh approach.

Fos Feck as i have heard his reasons for the lynch but it is also a great way for scum to hide a town kill.

In the wiki link it mentions 2 assassins. Is that set in stone or will it vary given the number of players to balance the game?

Callan killed mm That's interesting .
killed to frame me ? Killed rather than one of the more usual 'top' players Why ?

and Jinx, that would only work if we have quiet town players .

Denny way to go :funny: we have played so many games where no posters get lynched first ,now at one post from Jinx you come out with a Fos based on ....Lynching players who do not post is a Scum move . WTF

It's actually "Jynx" :hmph:

I use the masculine 'y' (see it there, flexing its muscles?) rather than the slender and feminine 'i'.
