Sigh. Ani and MZ, why vote mantis? She is following my suggestion, and DP put the first vote on ghat.

I'd FoS you both, but I fear you both think you are doing town good :banghead:

I like ani's rationale on this. Voting a non postser will likely end up killing off a town.
The reason why it's not a bad idea to vote someone who is quiet is because they can't help your team.

So -- as it stands - I know I win when [x] outnumbers the other teams.

Anyone can be [x] right now. So, it's risky to vote for anyone right now. But, even if the quiet person you voted was on your team, it's not like they're going to be much of a help. But -- when it comes down to it, you hope that chances are, they are not.

Personally, I'd like to get a person from the organized teams. They are the ones that know who their team mates are - so, don't have the risk factor that we have.

This reasoning is flawed. You have no improved chance to get a town over a scum using the silent method.
I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. [...] I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me. - Richard Feynman

FoS me all you like. Remember what happened the last time people voted silent players? Remember that? A vigilante or two got killed. Remember?

Voting a non-poster is an easy way for scum to drop a vote.
I think that's ani's reasoning, and I agree.

Yep. All scum have to do is wait until a town latches onto someone and then all pile their votes in while trying to look innocent.

Disagree.
Scum will drop a vote on a non-posting town player with the excuse that they are not contributing. It looks blameless.
I know this because I've done before when I was scum.

MZ and ani, then by that logic you should vote, or DP, before voting mantis. You're not being consistent.

Not only that, innocent specials are sometimes quiet because they don't want to draw attention to themselves.

I seem to remember town lynching a special in a recent game because he was quiet.

Actually by my own logic scum would wait until a town has FoSsed someone then join the bandwagon as to keep their ass clean so no inconsistency what-so-ever.

Actually, I should vote you to be consistent.
There is still an element of seeking a reaction in this. Nightfall is a way off.
My votes so far.

Irre, no reason, just to get a vote out
Gib, to get a reaction
Mantis, there is some validity in what ani was doing, so I followed it to apply pressure on Mantis.
