OK, I'm just throwing this out here and am very open to being told the flaws in my logic.
The game started with:
Guests (5)
Waiters (2)
VIP (2)
Body Guards (2)
Officers (2)
I'm thinking Irre's suggestion wasn't all that silly and scummy, after all. If we reveal our roles (guest, waiter, VIP, etc.), rather than Franchise vs. ICA (maybe others?), there would by default be more claims than roles. Which would lead to winnowing down the likely liars and such.
Am I missing an crucial angle?

Do you see my sig? In the FF game I think the final other 2 players would have self-voted rather than let Ob be lynched, they were so convinced she was town.gib wrote:diva i kinda think ob is town
She got abusive with me in that game too. I am not the one who is confused about who is on my team. Linus is on my team.
While I am grateful for your save yesterday, your dancing around Linus's questions is making you look uber suspicious to me.

does anyone else think that the target list in the day one op might be something to do with 47's win condition now? and if so, shouldn't we look at irre's wanting a mass claim in a much harsher light?
Also, linus is skating very close to special hunting territory.

Oops! I just posted that I was looking at it in a much softer light.Uselesstwit wrote:does anyone else think that the target list in the day one op might be something to do with 47's win condition now? and if so, shouldn't we look at irre's wanting a mass claim in a much harsher light?

I'll feel very silly indeed in the aftermath if that turns out to be a Scum ploy. I'll be OK with it just being a bad idea.

Been busy signing up some serious contracts the past two days ($$$). Its what I do when I'm not teaching art during the school year.
When is deadline?

I agree with both of these observations. And I cannot believe that town is letting Linus do this. Even if he's town, what he's doing is potentially damaging to town.Uselesstwit wrote:does anyone else think that the target list in the day one op might be something to do with 47's win condition now? and if so, shouldn't we look at irre's wanting a mass claim in a much harsher light?

Christ this is confusing. Not knowing if a dead player is town or scum is bad.

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Sure, but I was willing to lynch Irre just for suggesting it. It's not like this game has a bunch of sheep. The twist might be that he'd know darn well nobody would go for it.gib wrote:makes sense but i kinda hope gm woulda put more thought into the game - like who designs a game then says yeh btw these r the rolesamok wrote:OK, I'm just throwing this out here and am very open to being told the flaws in my logic.

Because if he were scum he would have been trying to stir up wifom about Charlou's and Feck's alignment like some people I could name. I am Franchise. I win when all threats to town are eliminated. He is the only other one who understood what the fuck I was talking about last night.Uselesstwit wrote:I'm not done reading yesterday's thread yet, but how do you know that linus is on your team?divagreen wrote:Do you see my sig? If he is scum, then he is doing a masterful job because I am convinced that he is town.
