Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 4
Going to go back and re read all the days before I join the durro wagon, but I'm still sure meph is scum. No 4 mason crew is ever entirely town, so one of them is scum. He's been playing like scum all the way through, and he's now convinced one of the masons must be scum (to the point he's been "shaking all night") but is voting for someone else anyway?
He knows if we lynch Normal and Normal is innocent he's toast.

Meph's scum even if he isn't scum, he's so mean to me and for no reason, which suggests general ebilness and linkages to the basement kitteh

I'm not following. You and Normal are the remaining Committee members? You get to PM each other?Mephistopheles wrote:Oh YES I'm not dead. I was nearly shitting myself with anxiety. I couldn't explain everything fully before day ended, but me and Normal are the last of the Kitteh Committeh. I started looking at people who didn't strike me as suspicious, and--I think it was Lion who said it?--the idea came up that someone on the Committeh would probably be scum. Like Feck pointed out, I wasn't sure exactly how diarrhea could last for so long and be so debilitating to the game. Then I realized that we had two Committeh members dead and one of them dead by the serial killer first night. If I were the serial killer, I'd try to start taking out Committeh members--people I know--pronto because the only way I can win is by bringing down the scum to town ratio two a point where town doesn't win but mafia doesn't have advantage, and the Committeh are known town members (easiest targets as long as they don't come out), and will probably be the most cohesive force against killing off mafia--which again, an independent killer doesn't want in excess, especially later in the game. I could try to sway their vote, but I'm only one in four. So I'd pick off one of them first night to make the job easier later. If I picked off the second one second night, the last one would squeal on me and I'd be dead, so I'd wait a night or two to make it seem more random. But WHAT LUCK! Someone else killed off another one night two. Now, all I need to do is kill off the last member before he starts to suspect I'm the serial killer and voila no one will ever know that there were originally four Committeh members.
Which is why I had to come out. I almost realized too late that he could quietly have picked me off tonight and no one would have been the wiser.
Why do you think the serial killer would pick you off? Why would the serial killer know who you are?

I agree now that it wasn't clever. I think Durro posted a lynch vote towards you Twinkie because you voted for him. If he knows that he is innocent, than he'd want to retaliate. But at the same time, he could have done it as a guilty party, trying to get the lynching towards you.Twinkie wrote: What happened yesterday was NOT clever.
1) You arbitrarily announce some cartel (which includes scum as the person you are 'following')
2) You and durro start a lynch vote for me which, had I not announced my role, would have resulted in my being lynched yesterday
3) The seer and vigilante announce themselves, meaning that the missed hit last night ensures a special role hit for scum tonight
4) You blindly follow the lead of durro's lynch vote for sifaka (which he made out to be tit-for-tat but actually he knew he was getting an innocent lynched.. again..) and others just as blindly follow.
Not really too sure.
For now, I'm not putting out a vote, because I want to see how the day pans out.
As for Lion, It's a bit disheartening to see 3 shots going to town. I kind of feel sympathy because I know it's tough to make a judgement call and all....... but, it is a bit of a shame. On the other hand, Owtth did seem guilty with his last post... but, turns out, it wasn't enough to go on.

Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 4
I don't think he's scum. I think he might be the serial killer. Please don't misinterpret me. I don't like coming out like this because it also puts me at risk, but I was pretty certain that I'd stand a better shot in the open than quietly waiting for Normal to kill me. If indeed he is the serial killer, which might not be. I'm open to the fact that maybe all four of us were town cats, and since we're all dying off like fleas I don't want to force you guys to kill him unless we're pretty certain that he's the serial killer. Which is another reason why I brought it out into the open because I figured you guys collectively might have better judgment on the whole matter.J.A.Poisson wrote:Going to go back and re read all the days before I join the durro wagon, but I'm still sure meph is scum. A retaliatory vote is not something an innocent does. I couldn't get the numbers to lynch him yesterday (or the day before, though I tried), but with his posse he could get me lynched. I'm not the one who has acted suspiciously.Mantisdreamz wrote:I think Durro posted a lynch vote towards you Twinkie because you voted for him. If you're innocent, ask yourself why he trusts in you so completely? It does not make sense. He is just shoring up your support.

Hi Twinkie,
“What happened yesterday was NOT clever.”
So you say. Fair enough.
1) You arbitrarily announce some cartel (which includes scum as the person you are 'following')
Nope. The only thing I do arbitrarily is speak up and suggest an idea that people should “come out” and that I thought there were 4 – 5 people whose group lead I would follow.
2) You and durro start a lynch vote for me which, had I not announced my role, would have resulted in my being lynched yesterday
And……..did you get lynched? Nope. Did Durro or me vote to lynch you? Nope.
3) The seer and vigilante announce themselves, meaning that the missed hit last night ensures a special role hit for scum tonight
Why did the seer and the vigilante do that do you think? Oh and I noticed you missed someone else who also came out. (gotta admire that bravery) Duhhhhhhhh.
4) You blindly follow the lead of durro's lynch vote for sifaka (which he made out to be tit-for-tat but actually he knew he was getting an innocent lynched.. again..) and others just as blindly follow.
I would follow Durro to the end of the earth and give him my left testicle….NOT! I am sick of all the Mexican stand-off and mutually assured destruction name calling.
Now. I reiterate to you that if the vigilante and the cloak of invisibility cat and the seer had NOT come out we would still be bogged down in a bitching session about how hard it is not being able to send PM’s and whining about time zones.
I want Mephistopheles to explain how being a member of the Kitteh Committee can HELP us. What abilities/information do you have that should have been shared with us the minute you first knew. If you are telepathic maybe you can send us an invisible PM.

Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 4
Oh for fucks sake.
I voted Twinkie when I was suspicious of her. She came out in a gutsy move as I suggested the protective kitteh should. I changed my mind about her when no other players came forward to dispute her role and withdrew my vote for her.
I made it clear that I was voting for Sifaka purely as a defensive move as she voted for me. I made it abundantly clear that I didn't think that people should follow me, and now I'm being accused of setting up another innocent. BULLSHIT.
I outlined how the protective cat (Twinkie) could revela herself, protect herself and when we were certain of her, get the investigative cat communicating in public, as PM's aren't allowed and the innocents needed the info for lynch votes. I also told how the cop cat could be protected.
Feck and Lion apparently didn't read my post before they BOTH came out, takinga huge risk that Twnkie was telling the truth and fucking up the plan in the process. However, I put forward an idea to fuck with the bad guys' minds so the 3 special innocents would be untouched tonight. Hopefully Twnkie will come out and say how she didn't protect ANY of them last night but she will be tonight, or something like that. Remember the shell game ?
As the 3 innocents were off limits to the bad guys and there was only 1 death, I assume that either the bad guys AND serial killer or whoever is doing the other killings chose the same target, or one of them foolishly went after a protected player and was thwarted. Now, unless Twinkie comes out and says she can protect someone twice in a row, that key innocent that was protected is screwed in the next night round, but them's the breaks.
Fuckin' vote for me if you want. I've been helpful to the innocents and tried to thwart the bad guys. When you lynch me, you will see that I am Agnostic Cat, Vanilla Town.

Lion, your post sounds like back-peddling from your stance yesterday. As it is, you have been more successful in killing off town than the scum have been.
Who's lead are you going to follow? Durro's?

Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 4
Yes, our roles are that we don't know each other's alignment but we can PM each other and try to swing the vote one way or another. Which I think was our only advantage, and it hasn't done us any good. AshtonBlack only PM'd Skinny Puppy once before he died; I never heard diddly from him besides what Skinny relayed to me. Skinny was killed off, and we did manage to swing the vote away from him pretty early and onto RA, but then he was killed that night. And now two of us PMing each other seems pretty useless in affecting the vote, especially since like JA said one of the Committeh might not be town, in which case as long as we kept our alliance secret I'd be an easy kill if Normal were the killer. But then again, in the Dune thread there was that married couple who didn't know they both were town and I thought maybe that was the point of not telling us our alliances; to see if we could trust each other not to kill each other. Which is why I'm not sure about Normal yet. But I'd rather have it be in the open so that in the event of my death I'll finally have done something good for you guys instead of me dying quietly and no one even thinking that maybe there even was a fourth Committeh member, let alone thinking that it was Normal.Twinkie wrote:I'm not following. Why do you think the serial killer would pick you off? Why would the serial killer know who you are?
And if that didn't answer the last questions: I'm saying that Normal, the other Committeh member, might be the serial killer. He might not be and the kills were just random happenstance, but again. If he were the killer, I'd probably be dead within the next two days if I hadn't spoken up, with no evidence to point toward him. If he isn't, then fine, I'll take some suspicion because frankly I wouldn't trust myself completely either, but at least I might survive a little longer and it gives you guys a little more evidence to go on when I do die. Which I am totally prepared to die now, by the way. I'm almost expecting it.

But also, if an innocent person thought that someone was against them - they may end up thinking that you are scum trying to take him down. Maybe he thought that you were scum. You came out with your actual role, and then he unvoted you... and voted for sifaka. Hmm... voted for sifaka because she looked like she was against him...
It's a tough call.
For now, I will vote him.... this may change... after all, the day round is long - so we never know what could happen.
vote Durro
Also, Feck will let us know who he ended up investigating.
