irre's summary was new to me, I've never seen her do one like that.

Sorry haven't had time to more than quickly skim this thread... I have set off some flea bombs and get out of the house in a moment (our new cat arrived home with fleas :sighsm:
Firstly, I was not recruited (not surprising, I'd not recruit me, either).
I'm following my gut about Gib.. he's way too agreeable.
vote Gib
In my mind, MZ is firmly town, and I think DP is, too, because ghat would not let his scum team down.
I'm 50:50 on charlou (she might be sucking up to me by 'clearing' me), denny and UT.
I think callan is playing weird, and higgs is doing the technical talk, which I find highly suspicious.
I'll be back in several hours, when the air is safe to breath.

I didn't FoS her, I said that of her and Irre, she looked scummier. They're both down the bottom half of the list of my scum suspects.gib wrote:Interesting that you started your post by fossing Charlou, giving no reason. Playing mafia as town is very simple, trust no one, even if a seer outs and clears 2 or 3, don't leap blindly, look at their posts and see what they're hiding.
If you do it with this post, you should notice I diverted attention away from Irre by talking about my suspicions of two other players.
Then I negated anyone who spotted that by pointing it out myself and implying I did it deliberately as an example.
And so on and so forth....
To answer your question: Zigmens chance of viewing the don on night one was 1 in 15, and we'd have to be unlucky for her to be don. For now I'll assign her a lower level of scuminess because of the read, if there is a recruiter and she was recruited then it'll be like last game, get the other scum first and we can kill her if we need to.
You seem very eager for someone to start a BW for you to jump on, and I don't know how you've survived to day 3 from what I read in the first two days.
Vote Gib.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Re: Carnivale - Day 3
is ani supposed to still be on the crew list oblivion?
I'm feeling better about higgs right now. I'm still thinking callan might be scum. Gib I think might have been recruited so I wouldn't mind him getting lynched. Ghat/dp I really don't know. dp is pedaling hard to try to stay but he's doing very well.
Denny kind of is pinging for me today. his vote for dp simply because there was wifom about him really is garbage. I'd rather hear who he thinks is scum rather than who has a lot of questions about them.
mz is also a bit off. we don't have to give irre a free pass but there still are at least 2 other scum and maybe more depending on what the recruit mechanic is, i'd really like to hear who else he feels we should be looking at.

I believe you. I think the whole recruiting thing is a red herring.Firstly, I was not recruited (not surprising, I'd not recruit me, either).
If you're town then this would be a mistake. I still have you down as town fwiw.I'm following my gut about Gib.. he's way too agreeable.

Nice to see you thinking with your mind instead of your gut. Your reason re ghat/DP is pretty sound (yes i'm agreeing!). Remind me about the MZ thing, bearing in mind DP's advice to 'trust no one' is also pretty sound. In my mind, MZ is firmly town, and I think DP is, too, because ghat would not let his scum team down.
Is it me or was Charlou more chatty when she had the restriction?I'm 50:50 on charlou (she might be sucking up to me by 'clearing' me), denny and UT.
Higgs has moved from ''unsure' to 'scummy' on my list. I've given my reasons for this. I don't get why people are worried about Callan, what's that all about?I think callan is playing weird, and higgs is doing the technical talk, which I find highly suspicious.
Right.I'll be back in several hours, when the air is safe to breath.

Re: Carnivale - Day 3
I'm back. OK, Gib's response to my post and my accusation of him is the most pro-town post I've seen in a while. Plus he's holding steady ground against DP (who I think is town).
I think higgs is scum. She's been fixating on the technical aspects (even mentioning mantis again today, gawd only knows why) and it's a good smoke screen for scum. I'm not buying the "I was visited by a prozzie" either. It's lame to claim that today given everyone knows it doesn't clear anyone.
unovte Gib, vote higgs
Re callan, well her play is entirely different this game. This will always ping.
I forgot to mention Squid in my earlier post (sorry Squid!). I think Squid is playing a town game. Whether this is because he has a great mentor is another thing.

Re: Carnivale - Day 3
I asked DP about Irre because there is a huge ? about HIM and I wanted to get his perspective.
In my mind, he's answered it very well.
Gib's recent analysis was mighty townish.
I want to have a closer look at Birthdaytwit and Higgs. Birthdaytwit seems to be trying to get something going on me.
I really don't think I warrant it. I also don't think Callan warrant's the attention or votes she's been getting. For me there's nothing there. Just a bit of town play, groping in the dark, making some analysis, which I've generally agreed with.
I'm going to be very interested in where the eventual bw to protect DP comes from or whether he'll just be bussed.
I'm totally confused by Ghat's meltdown. There's no way Ani caused it.
Anyone have experience with red herrings in Oblivion's game? Recruitment always seems a bit of an unbalancing factor. There has to be a down side.
I wouldn't mind a secondary informal vote to guide the vig tonight. It's not that I think they've done a bad job. I'd have definitely taken out Mono last night if I were the vig.
I think the squid needs to be scrutinised.

Could you point out why they are scummy?
For the record, here's the bw on Morticia in the order of votes
MZ, Irre, Callan, Squid, Gib, Denny

MZ, I voted for Mort too.
Here's why I'm voting for higgs:
And why wouldn't masons include another aspect of character/role play? It makes sense that the conjoined twins would be able to communicate.
Here's why I'm voting for higgs:
I've said a couple of times, I'm not part of a mason group.higgs2 wrote:I'm not scum. I was however visited by someone very sexy, I assume the scum prostitute. Same thing as the others.
I'm surprised about the mason thing, I thought it was lovebirds who were joined so that one died if the other did. I haven't seen that with masons. I think we cannot make any assumptions with this game, and i have been . Abut the "traitorous enabler" (still don't get that), about charlous being part of a mason group. About ghat's behavior being role connected and not ghat connected. On the other hand, UT might be right about the recruitment thing.
UT is right about recruiters having restrictions. Sometimes the restriction is that it takes 2 nights. If anyone feels weird or dizzy or whatever you might be being recruited. If you really want to help town, speak up. Sometimes they have to choose between a scum kill or a recruit. And yeah, like UT says sometimes(often) they cannot recruit specials. And if they can the special usually cannot keep their power.
And why wouldn't masons include another aspect of character/role play? It makes sense that the conjoined twins would be able to communicate.
You are playing differently because you're not being aggressive ... all very reasonable (I recall an early game I played with you where you played like this and were scum ... and went on to win), all the while creating wifom about masons, recruitments and Ghat's meltdown.higgs2 wrote:UT, I'm not playing differently that I know of. Re: Carnivale - Day 3
MZ I'm not trying to get you lynched but your constant defense of callan is making me wonder. She's been the number 3 vote on both bw, and that is one of the signs of hiding a vote.
Gib does look much better now as does dp. Irre still looks mostly town as does char.
I'm guessing we have either 3 or 4 scum depending on whether or not they've successfully recruited.
I think what it might come down to for me is that higgs was blocked on a night that we had no night kill. I'm leaning towards the mono kill being the vig, which means a block is the most likely reason for a botched kill.

This got my attention too. In addition to where she's placed her votes on days 1 and 2, her statement that she's not voting today looks passive/agressive ... like an odd kind of flail.Uselesstwit wrote:MZ I'm not trying to get you lynched but your constant defense of callan is making me wonder. I just want to add, I think you're calm and not confused because as part of the scum team you've got the upper hand wrt knowledge about who's town. Yes, a very comfortable position to be in.Charlou wrote:You are playing differently because you're not being aggressive ... all very reasonable (I recall an early game I played with you where you played like this and were scum ... and went on to win), all the while creating wifom about masons, recruitments and Ghat's meltdown.higgs2 wrote:UT, I'm not playing differently that I know of.
