I'm trying to pull myself out of my trolley tracks regarding Twinkie. Her posts tonight have been convincing.
If I take the special claims at face value, then MZ goes to the top of my list. He's been quiet, and has mostly posted late in the day after all the shouting has been over. The last minute bus of Booski becomes more relevant, and his info about the role PM looks less convincing than what I pulled out of you later.

Ok, have read.
I'm not happy about use of pms at all. I have mentioned this to zig as an aside for after the game.
In actual fact, I was not pm'd my role and had to request it from zig. There was a particular reason for this oversight that was no one's fault.
Zig could confirm this if need be. My pm was as was stated, but as I said, it was an after the event pm about an hour before the game was due to start and contained a very big apology.
I won't be screenshoting it as I don't think it's in the spririt of the game and not fair on the remaining scum player. Just my two cents.
Oblivion is scum: Most likely. She is pushing for no lynch tomorrow and I can;t reason why that would be good. If she's serious, could she please elaborate more, because we should agree now to no lynch tomorrow, not fuss about it then. My guess is that Oblivion will be around. Either she's the Don or she's being kept for a lynch candidate. Therefore Oblivion, either way would be pushing for no lynch.
Twinkie: as doc, she's in a strong position. She should certainly give no indication of who she will protect.
Ani: As seer screenshoting his role, frankly - I don't like that. But given it's done, be aware its fakeable. However this is unlikely.
Feral: Really my only other candidate. If it's not Oblivion, it's feral.

Oblivion, every time I've logged on so have you. I can't do that unfortunately. Life is going on. I have tried to give minimal excuses, but I'm here now. Fire away.

I am as uncomfortable with the use of PMs as MZ, and even more uncomfortable with the screenshotting. But for now it provides useful info. I would like to hear more about the no lynch option as well.

There was nothing in the rules against screen-shotting my inbox or outbox. Only copy/pasting the PMs them selves

We'll save it for after the game. What's done is done and like you say, it wasn't against the rules. I'm not accusing you of breaking the rules.

I know. I don't blame you, it was helpful for us and Oblivion was really attacking you. But in future I think the rules should possibly be changed.

So just a couple of things need piecing together.
If Oblivion is scum, do we have any plausible explanation as to how she knew the content of the vanilla town PMs?

Of course I did. They both confirmed they were vanilla town (the roles were given to me exactly, rather than just innocent or guilty, because the players were dead and their roles up on the thread anyway, I think).
Cool. Was stressing a little about random or paranoid seers.
Still have to worry about a don if lynching DennyB doesn't end it today.
Unless DennyB is the Don.
Ooh. Was that a fatal slip up?
I can't believe I have to point this out. Don or lack thereof only mattered if DennyB's lynch didn't end the game. I really hoped that it would, because I don't think town can win this now. Basically, all scum have to do is kill someone besides me tonight and I'm the logical lynch tomorrow.
I hope you guys will at least seriously consider the nolynch option so we can get it down to 2-1 instead of 3-1.

It's not uncommon for GM to include the text of the role pm I think.
Some actually post the vanilla role pms somewhere so this kind of ploy can be avoided.
However, Oblivion would have known this and might have been expecting to get the same role pm parroted back.
This makes me think it the ploy designed only to create some suspicion on someone else. And low and behold, that has happened, and low and behold, she wasn;t the one to first spot it. A degree of separation. I have to get it in to my head that she is just another player and not some super mafia being. I am constantly sucked into the aura.

On the other hand, I think that the 2-1 option would also come down to me. Probably with Feral and MZ. I'm not sure that buys all that much more for town.
I'll still vote nolynch, probably.

It varies by GM and by game. Lately, I've been running a lot of simple games, and I always add the vanilla PM to the peanut gallery for them. In my larger game designs, sometimes I reveal the PM and sometimes I don't.
Catching someone out via a quiz on the vanilla PM after they claim vanilla town is a fairly common tactic when the role PM is not made public. It's not usually the huge deal that it became in this game. Maybe it's because it's the first time a quiz tactic has been used here.

That wiki page does not really explain why we should do it for this game.
It seems to me to prevent your lynch. The longer you can survive, the greater your chances of winning.
I don't buy into it that our chances of winning are low.
There's 4-1. If Twinkie can block, we'll be laughing.
At 3-1, we should take our chance to win the game.
It's flawed logic as far as I can see, but I am open to be convinced.
