It's possible that MZ is pulling a fast one.charlou wrote:MZ and oblivion .. both players I suspected on day one but didn't want to comment on because I thought they may be specials ... But how neat that MZ now outs to support oblivion .. A town seer and an indie SK with a seer skill. hmm. After last game I'm well aware of MZ's willingness to bluff. Still not buying it. My vote and FOS stands.
I've wondered if there are other one-time night actions besides my own view.
And I was damn relieved that there doesn't appear to be a role-blocker in this game. I was sweating that in the car all the way down to San Jose tonight.

Wouldn't there be a counter claim though for seer?charlou wrote:MZ and oblivion .. both players I suspected on day one but didn't want to comment on because I thought they may be specials ... Re: Monopoly Day 3
I hinted that Mantis was not cleared however. Most people probably assumed that she was.
I chose Mantis on Night 2 to rectify that and because it was a safe choice because I didn;t think Oblivion would choose Mantis.
crosspost with oblivion.
No fast one. Claiming seer is too risky to fake.

Re: Monopoly Day 3
As far as number of specials, I dunno. Apparently I was wrong about the vig, and Mono was a scum kill. I'm still wondering about that, though.
2 town specials, a revved up town-compatible indie, and whatever effect the random rolls are having on people's night actions or susceptibility to night actions is a powerful town.
I'm assuming that scum get the benefit of the random rolls, too.

This was one time from last night I hinted at Mantis not being viewed.
There may be another.
I can't quite remember.

View DP. Or Charlou. Or Irre.
One of those three.
Hmmm... the scum kill may have failed. Interesting. And Oblivion threw Aza from the train. And we may have a vig.
So we may have a doc, a vig and a seer. This could get ugly tonight if all three kills go through.
It would appear Mantis is unseen then. Maybe throw her in for good measure. Although that vote on Higgs seemed to be a town vote. If not then Nelli and Mantis are both scum.
Squid vs Feck. I'm not agonising about it. Both look town for different reasons.
Re: Monopoly Day 3
speaking of revved up indies, we do know that Zigmen likes to do that. Irre's SK role in the simpsons game is an example. she had info that would clear a few town players as well as the night kill.
Irre, you were actually well equipped to win with town in that game, and you chose to court scum instead. It worked out ok for you.
I can't do that because even when I'm committed to town, not being town but trying to act town throws off my game.
you guys are going to laugh your asses off when you finally see my scum game.

Re: Monopoly Day 3
Irre seems to be lost for ways to find flaw in my claim.
It's good to test claims. That's why when you asked the seer to out, eventually, I did so early, to allow enough time for a counter claim. The info I had confirms Oblivion as indy. The wifom created by Charlou and backed by Irre was not worth allowing to continue.
I thought if a couple piled on to an Oblivion bandwagon, it might be useful info.
I still do not follow Charlou's reasoning about why a scum Oblivion would claim an indie role and bus gib.
As for no scum kill, my own role clearly indicates how that occurred. Others may have a similar tweek.

And I only bluff when I need to as scum.
I don't see how that this situation fits with one requiring me to bluff.
There won't be a counter-claim.

Re: Monopoly Day 3
the first game that I was mayor voted, I protested that I didn't want the responsibility and voted for someone else. It got me lynched that day. I was town.Mantisdreamz wrote:Oblivion, I think that was more of the case that you wondered or were suspicious of whether or not I wanted to be mayor. Not me actually appearing that way.oblivion wrote:yeah, but I weigh that against mantis voting for someone else. If she were don would she have done that? Maybe.Magicziggy wrote:It concerns me that gib voted Mantis for mayor.
remember, I thought that looked scummy on day 1 because she appeared to not want to be mayor.
Honestly, I don't necessarily enjoy being mayor. Having to deal with the tied vote thing is a bit of pressure.
I learned my lesson. Once there's a mayor vote on me I don't make a move either direction. I hardly ever vote for a mayor unless I think the leader is a bad idea for town.
Re: Monopoly Day 3
MZ, I thought you were the doc. I'm not surprised you are a special, but I thought you protected me last night.
given that I wasn't killed last night, I can think of 3 possibilities. gib was the designated night killer and my kill went through first, town has a doc who decided to protect me (or whoever was targeted), or whoever was targeted for the scum kill was immune last night.

In fact your bravado made me think you were immune

Re: Monopoly Day 3
no, I wasn't immune last night. If I had been, I would have waited to out until I had that view in hand, and would probably have skipped my night kill. I prefer outing as indie when I have a gift in hand.Magicziggy wrote:In fact your bravado made me think you were immune

But, I did have immunity from a day 1 lynch. I didn't need it.
I'm hoping for some immunity with tonight's roll. We'll see.
Re: Monopoly Day 3
MZ why do you feel that Nellikins is cleared? I thought she was the next most scummy looking player after Gib, but I thought Charlou (or Irre or DP) would be far more dangerous as scum.
