She's kind of drawing a lot of attention to herself, which scum tend not to do. Not sure I've seen her scum game yet, but if this is it its worse that gib's. Might be worth considering some of the votes on her BW, the hit and runs by higgs and gonzo in particular.

What's guapos rule?Zigmen wrote:##Vote Irre##Don't Panic wrote: Self voting is scummy by convention, like 3rd or 4th on the bw being scum, rules of thumb are wrong more often than right, irre hasn't posted enough yet for me to read her either way so a mayor vote gets people talking, as does a lynch vote.
But, surprisingly, not so much for the self-vote.
More so for apologizing that she broke Guapo's rule.
The apology seems a bit too glittery.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Re: Stargate SG1 - Day 1
Gotta agree, if only because I said something similar about day one town lynch votes not being terribly significant in the Innsmouth game on day one and was damn near lynched over it. I learned. So why are we getting a little pack of random voters? If it's all sort of in-group teasing, it's going to be confusing for non ingroupers, guys.Azathoth wrote:Ones with any sort of reasoning behind them. What is honestly bugging me is that Aza felt the need to poin it out when I have seen Aza himself do this. He is acting like he has never seen this before and therefore it kind of looks to me like is distancing himself in a subtle way while seeming active. It also sets up for a genral tone of future suspicion; he can point later and say, "that looked scummy" when it just looks like the usual d1 'everyone trying to stick out their feelers and see what happens' to me.b.ternarius wrote:Gotta agree, if only because I said something similar about day one town lynch votes not being terribly significant in the Innsmouth game on day one and was damn near lynched over it. Okay, but I still think if not scummy it's not good practice.

I have to go to work soon. I'll be back before nightfall, thanks to the time extension.

There is a difference between poking a quiet one with a vote later in the day and a the first couple of pages being nothing but random votes. Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Uh...I seem to remember you voting for me early in the game just so you could watch me flail all day.Azathoth wrote:There is a difference between poking a quiet one with a vote later in the day and a the first couple of pages being nothing but random votes. I am less concerned aboout those and more concerned about the shoddy reason votes. For instance, what do you think of Gonzo's reason for voting Irre? Especially considering he self-mayor voted in the Russian Roulette game? He was town in that game. I have a big fat FOS on him at the mo.
