Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
Is irre the same irre on Ratskep(irreligionist). I have played 2-3 games with her, and I found her voting behaviour difficult to understand. She goes after people, even if there is little evidence at hand (She follows this pattern whether she is scum or town). I just found her interaction with UT interesting.Linus wrote:I don't follow. Does irre usually focus on UT on day 1?r.c wrote:@@vote irre@@
This is also a seer suggestion. I find her difficult to read. Also with UT not playing this game, it would be interesting to see who she targets on day 1.

What makes you think that noobs don't get NKed early, yet it's hard to know if they will get lynched early?Linus wrote:It's very hard to know at the start of the game who is likely to get lynched early. Who do you think, based on all the info available to you right now, is most likely to survive to endgame?Zigmen wrote:Probably won't be NKed early?Linus wrote:iclad claimed to have played 2 games before in the sign-up thread, so probably won't be NKed early.irretating wrote:Why iclad?
What about lynched early?
Why did you point out the NK style specifically and not just say "get killed early?"
And, in answer to your question, I think noobs get a pass from being lynched for a day or two in general. As far as end game, anything can happen.
But, your statement and my subsequent question are directed at the actions of the early game, and not endgame, so I don't really see the connection you're trying to make.
What are you trying to turn a discussion of the earl;y game into a discussion of the endgame?

Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
I suspect that most scum teams use their NKs to target town players with a reputation for being good, among others. Statistically speaking, new players who haven't built a reputation for being good should be far down the list here. When it comes to lynches, it is harder say.Zigmen wrote:What makes you think that noobs don't get NKed early, yet it's hard to know if they will get lynched early?
BTW, do you remember this game?

NK= Night Kill, scum kill one player each nightIronclad wrote:I played them elsewhere, Linus, so.. what? Itchy trigger finger??Linus wrote:iclad claimed to have played 2 games before in the sign-up thread, so probably won't be NKed early.irretating wrote:Why iclad?

UT = player name Useless Twit
seer = town player who can view another player each night to see if they are scum or town, etc.
mayor = elected by players, breaks lynch tie if needed. Often viewed by seer to make sure they are town
You should read one of the game instruction sites.

What about you diva? Any objections to being viewed this game?divagreen wrote:Would you like me to vote for you, Irre?
Because I could totally be down with that as well...as long as you were viewed.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

What does who is likely to survive have to do with it? The idea is to find and lynch the scum.Linus wrote:It's very hard to know at the start of the game who is likely to get lynched early.
