Didn't know anything about your list earlier--did you publish it? But here we are on day three, and you are confused again.

What are your current thoughts regarding town vs. scum?
I can tell you what my thoughts were last night, because I wrote them down. Because DP turned out to be Town, as well as learning that players knew who you were from a previous game, makes me have to rethink.

I wrote (to myself):
I've learned a new concept in Mafia play this game. The "hedging" thing. Which ironically was brought up by my chief suspect at this point, Bilirubin. He is Number 1, DP is Number 2 (also for the hedging thing), and Gonzo is Number 3.

Bilirubin's post at 11:52 p.m., re: Matt: "If you do get lynched and turn up a town special, I'm not going to give a shit. Fix your play." Wow. Talk about hedging.

DP's post at 12:22 a.m.: "Shizzle, seems too scummy to be scum, but then again could be a double bluff, or just bad play." Then votes Shizzle. Hedging.

Gonzo's post at 2:29 p.m.: "I do not like the bilirubin wagon at all. I don't see much logic in the votes put to him. We played together at TR and this reminds me of his town game. I haven't seen him as scum, yet, so I don't know his range as a player, but in this game he seems similar to how he played in Game of Thrones." The logic on the votes against Bilirubin is as sound as possible on Day 2 (whether it turns out to be correct or not). Also Diva's point about him knowing who he is on the other site makes me think they're talking on a Scumboard.

Given those three hedging posts, how did you come up with the order for your suspicion?

To me, Gonzo's hedge looks the worst.
That wasn't the only thing, just the kicker. I was still working with these thoughts in my head, as well:
I'm trying really hard to see if my suspicion of Biliruben is more related to personal affront to his condescending attitude (as I see it) or the substance of his posts. I'm still bothered by the remark about seeing Nightson as Townish early on in the game (from pattern of voting, when Nightson practically posted nothing else besides three different votes on Day 1), and then not so much toward the end (when Nightson voted to lynch Scum btern). How does that make any sense at all? I'm seeing an attempt to confuse by means of invoking some sort of woo-ish Mafia superpower. If some of you who have played with him before have more insight (does he, in fact, have uncanny ability?), it would be good to share. Thanks.
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

I had downgraded you to neutral from leaning townish, but am admittedly undecided on you. But in this case I was proposing a hypothetical for Athene.
You down graded me to neutral in d2, I believe.

You had Ksen and I in your scummy pile earlier:
Bilirubin wrote:diva and ksen are looking more like scum to me as the days go on. higgs is the most scummy of the bunch.

Unsure on zigman. Really can't tell if he has trolley tracked badly on me, or if he really thinks he can drive a scum lynch onto me. I'd be more suspicious if DP had been the scum kill. Also unsure on r.c., amok, gonzo, and praying, who are also basically AWOL or posting drive bys only. Possibly scummy.

Get townish reads off Aza, irre, Feck. Would like to see Athene start playing now that she is back.
That is some fierce backpedaling there, Bili.[/quote]
Whereas I see no inconsistency with my saying you are progressively looking less town the longer the game goes on.

And then this, which I ended up reading for a bit:

In retrospect, it didn't actually answer the question, but by the time I got back to the thread it had been answered by other posters.

I'm having trouble buying aza's explanations for his votes. I'm thinking he might be Indy. Or scum. If zig is town I think he might be right about bili, but bili's vote on Higgs made sense to me. Bussing her? He's also cosying up to athene who I'm not getting warm fuzzies off of. He didn't mention me IIRC which I find weird, too.

Speaking of fuzzies, fuzzy! I can be the new gib! Talk to me!

Anyone who thinks I'm town, talk to me! I think scum are mostly laying low *cough* gonzo *cough* so it's a hard game.

And feck, mantis was shot twice, right? SK you think? Aza, work WITH town not against us pls!
I'm assuming the shot twice bit is flavour.

Thanks amok. I'm reading you as town. Which means I'd love some help. If you set aside your bili style affront, is there scumminess there do you think? How'd you read higgs' contribution?

Bad tags.

Yes, I Googled it and found a few unrelated things such as:

You know irre, today you have asked an awful lot of questions, but offered very little in the ways of your own thoughts. Your vote on Aza remains unexplained on a reread of the day. Lets start there. 'Sup with that?

I don't know. I'm still trying to put aside the fact that I don't like the way he talks to people. I think I'm also still seeing attempts to confuse with all sorts of accusations. He said a little while ago that I'm on his list of posters who are either "AWOL or hit and run," and having just re-read Day 2 I can't see that as anything but misrepresentation.

It's 3.30am. And I'm on upper-type stuff. But I think I'm making sense.

I did say why Aza. Surprised you missed it. His easy votes on shizz and zero scum hunting. I have high expectations of his town game. Something's not right.

Amok, you are persistently confused, which is as I have shown you earlier is convenient scum cover, so you are in my unknown, leaning scum pile. You may also simply be clueless townie, which is why you aren't at the top of my suspicions at the moment.

As far as my posting style: harden up. Ask Irre what pressure from me can look like. The fact however is that early days isn't just incomprehensible noise, but signal may be found there.

Alright, you know his/her game better than I. Will reread the first couple of days focusing on him/her over lunch and see what pops up.

Yes I know what you mean re the accusations. I'm trying to bounce off others about him because his scum game is hard to pick, but if he's town I want to listen to him.
