you know what's funny, though? I haven't bussed a scum buddy in about 8 months. the last time I did it, the player had a complete meltdown. my team won, but it wasn't worth anything like that amount of acrimony. And the phrase "makes Hitler look meek" has a special meaning at TR.

did you ask or explain or did you just ruthlessly kill one of your own team for personal glory ?

he posted something so incredibly scummy that if some of the other scum had pretended not to notice, we'd have been next on the chopping block for playing that crappy. it was a bad situation. In retrospect, it would have been much better for the development of all the players involved for us to just bend the knee and lose the game.

Ok, Oblivion, stop speculating about the wifom your continued survival generates and do what you do best.
What do we make of the absentee player? I'm glad I didn't wait around for her.

Mort, Irre and Mantis are my top picks atm. If Mort is town I am seriously pissed off because she's set herself up as the likely next lynch due to lack of participation. And Mantis has the axe now, so whatever happens today I hope it's useful info for tomorrow. This is the first day that someone I have serious doubts about is running the show. It will be hard to fault her for going after Mort if that's her decision and it turns out that Mort is town.

OTOH I understand why it's hard to feel invested in any particular game day when who gets killed is entirely up to another player. But the input is critical. I don't think I would have picked denny on day 2 without all the input players gave, and it felt like pulling teeth at times to get people to explain themselves further. And I will still say that it was a hell of a lot less risky to fos a team mate (looking at you, Irre) than to actually execute one (yeah, that's potentially me). I have a little mafia acting skill, but my jitters after making that decision were real.

mantis said she had concerns about gib last night. I'm curious how she feels after his posts yesterday. I actually find yesterday's posts interesting, because I know that I've expressed some inconsistencies in this game. I'm not of one mind, I have a lot of questions, and I've been fighting my default suspicions every step of the way. If you guys had fine-tooth-combed my posts the way we (I?) have focused on Zigmen, you would have had questions for me. gib at least has caught some of that, though it happened to be something I intentionally finessed. It was a good catch.

Now the question is whether that was town doing homework or scum looking for something legitimate to focus on.

His posts have seemed like they have town spontaneity about them.

My top picks are oblivion (sorry but your continued survival and the choices of NK raise serious doubts and if anyone would bus a scum, it'd be her), mort (because she's not actually contributed anything this game) and gib (because maybe zigmen was right about gib after all, now we know zigmen was town.. plus if he had been made king I suspect he'd have taken out gib).

I have blind spots for feck and mantis, because they tend to be wishywashy all the time (sorry, guys)

I think MZ and jynx are town. MZ, because he came to the game late and because he's been the most pro-town player insofar as listening to town before making a decision. Jynx is playing loose, which is his typical town game.

I'd still not touch Ani or Feck today. I'd only lynch Oblivion if her wifom generation about herself continues.
I don't read Irre or Mantis at all.
That leaves gib and Mort.
I think gib has played pro-town. He pursued zigmen over the madness of keeping quiet. He's been all over Oblivion's inconsistencies.
My vote is with Mort. For nothing other than she has not done one thing to help town.

Not all my inconsistencies were intentional MZ. If gib had called me out for one that wasn't intentional I'd have owned up and done my best to keep explaining the internal swirl I've been in.

I'm doing the best I know how to do for town. I often say this, and people raise their eyebrows when I do. You'll know better how to take my observations and hunches when I'm dead.

At whatever point I wind up dead and there are no questions at all about my being town, then please go back and look very seriously at my posts from the previous day. I update my best guesses constantly based on new info and new insights into old info.

How likely is it there is just one scum left? The wiki says two assassins, but is that really balanced?

If there were one scum left, I'd say execute Oblivion today so that we can move forward.
7 vs 1 means we could afford some collateral damage.

Mind you, Oblivion has at least contributed.
