sorry i miss- interpreted this quote of yours "Just stating the obvious. if they both happen to be town, then the competing bandwagons won't tell us anything."
I just thought it was inconsistent considering You started the vote on Totals . Also it would be very unlikely that all of your votes could be wrong ,you made so many ;)

You must be town you would play a better scum game than this !

I'm looking at Totals for fos'ing Mono and Higgs and Ghat are in the frame (but don't trust me I Always think Ghat looks Scummy .Denny has had a quiet ride so far too

My reason for saying that is that I've seen all too often the bandwagons are two town players. It happens, and then town goes in a swirl trying to figure out what the first day's votes mean when a player flips town. I didn't want to tip my hand about what that could mean about how the votes came in. Not sure I want to now, since a future scum team could use it to muddy the waters.
You must be town you would play a better scum game than this !
I have my good days and bad days. It's independent of my role. And I need to seriously make some adjustments for future games at ratz. I'll have more to say about this in the postgame debrief.

What about total's fos bothers you?

Well if you don't post much come to the game late and fos's a player who turns out to be innocent it looks bad . But
totals was right mono had not been playing :dono:

it looks bad, but does it look scummy?

Morticia arrived late and aggressively went after Charlou before she caught up to the point in the thread where Charlou had outed.

Then she switched to totals and then switched again immediately when Charlou started the bandwagon on Mononoke. The quickness of that move might indicate that totals was also scum and Morticia was willing to sacrifice him (her?) but obviously preferred a town target.

The thing about that theory that makes me a little cautious is that Charlou was and should have been a difficult player to lynch - she knows how to defend herself in that situation. It seems more likely that a fairly inexperienced scum player would vote for a good player up for lynch, but would let other people make the arguments.

On the other hand...at the start of all that it looked like Morticia was a probable lynch if Charlou wasn't. Going after Charlou was essentially self defense.

Charlou did not start the vote on Mononoke, Totals did .Which i think is a little odd if I had been threatened with a lynch i would have refossed a player who was already under suspicion I would have said "vote morticia not me PWWWWWEASE " .

I'm turning in for a bit because wine makes me wicom too much ..I should be awake early tomorrow to check just exactly what happened on day one I might even have to resort to a pen and paper :banghead:

oh geez. totals mis-spelled it so my page search went right over it, and I thought the quote was from much earlier.

I've tracked how the votes switched between the players during that time.

It started with Charlou 4.5, totals 4
Ghat switched - Charlou 3.5, totals 5
I unvoted - Charlou 2, totals 5
I voted totals - Charlou 2, totals 6.5
Morticia switched - Charlou 1, totals 7.5
I switched - Charlou 1, totals 6, gallstones 1.5
totals voted - Charlou 1, totals 6, gallstones 1.5, mononoke
Charlou switched - Charlou 1, totals 5, gallstones 1.5, mononoke 2
Morticia switched - Charlou 1, totals 4, gallstones 1.5, mononoke 3
I switched - Charlou 1, totals 4, mononoke 4.5
Ghat switched - Charlou 1, totals 3, mononoke 5.5
Gallstones unvoted - Charlou 1, totals 2, mononoke 5.5

My vote first put mononoke over the top wrt totals. If totals is scum, I'm going to be pissed.

I think we need to find out about totals
Vote totals
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Code: Select all

   $str = str_replace(array("\{","\}")," ",$str);

I have been suspect of totals as well. Not much going on there except for him trying to save his own ass. I think that is part of what led to mono's lynching. From what I've seen (and it's not that much), a last min. lynch mob for someone who has already announced they are AFK or gone to bed rarely proves to be positive. It happened to me once as well.
Also suspect of Ghat for the missed question from Feck. Although I know this is just a game and RL will take precedence. It's also a good excuse.
If totals turns out to be scum I would think this would clear Ghat as per this initiation.
Worth looking into I think.

Some thoughts based on gut feelings and the assessments of others.

People who lean towards town:
Ghat: Expressed concerns after the rapid BW change from Totals to Mononoke (I'm surprised no one else thought it felt funny. It looks strange in retrospect how that vote suddenly changed). Seems generally helpful.

Oblivion: Really got things going on day one, asks good questions, makes valid criticisms. Very helpful

People who lean towards scum:
Totals: Started bandwagon on Mononoke for being quiet. This done under threat of being lynched. Someone pointed out that it could be scummy that he didn't try to push the bandwagon over onto Morticia.

Gallstones: I think he acted a bit scummy on day one, and I think oblivion's critique of Galls today is valid.

Feck: Behaving different from previous town games. Always hard to read, though.

Who I'd like to hear more from:
DennyB

The rest I am not quite sure what to make of yet.

ok im here. i dont get hoome from work until about 5-6 pm est, so thats why i seemed quiet today.

to make things clear i did definitely start a vote on mono, tbh i just quickly searched through the thread and grabbed a name of a low poster since i was being lynched for low posting. almost immediately after i posted (iirc) charlou agreed and voted mono. im sorry i was wrong, but hey i of course wanted to live. i think everyone jumped to mono froma combo of charlou agreeing (it seems like charlou is very well respected here), and a general uncertainty about who to lynch bc i remember at least oblivion asking for a consensus.

i have no clue the bandwagon moved so quick, im mean i thought there was like 30 mins until hanging, so i moved quickly to save myself, maybe others thought the same?

ok.. now to read everything and start getting paranoid lol
