Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 2
I'm going to rethink the Aza - Athene thing. Actually it was so weird I haven't given it much thought.
It is a strange posting restriction to pick up in a role pm. I haven't checked the link, but Aza said that there was a character who rhymes. Two-end I think.
Athene could be:
1. jester. (it was a ruse to try and get lynched)
2. town-friendly indie.
3. town.
4. straight indie.
5. scum.
What I'd say about Athene from yesterday is that her play seemed pro-town and I'm inclined towards 2 or 3.

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 2
zigmen has done this before and has been wrong before. It is a tactic to guage your response and form an opinion.divagreen wrote:Well I am still suspicious of Azathoth and will probably end up voting for them. I explained my reasons in my second post on day one that I think voting for me out of the blue because of my first post is just scummy. I don't know Zigmen, so they could always act like this, but they sure were quick to jump on the bandwagon, so I will be happy to put in a vote for them if they cannot come up with a good reason for their actions.
I do have a question...why Higgz?
And who are these other people who are supposedly playing that we have barely heard from?
It is not necessarily a good tactic.
We cannot know why Higgs. She could have been a town kill or a scum kill.
Your guess is as good as mine. More will be learned in the days to follow.
Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 2
Well I agree with keeping up some pressure on the scummy players, and I think both praying and zigmen have some explaining to do. I probably think zigmen is the scummier of the 2 but as there's a whole 22+ hours to nightfall and the vote is 2-1 on zigmen at the moment, I think for now I will
vote praying
but I agree that DP, charlou and nellikens had better start participating. Lynching the quiet ones worked on day 1 and it might work on day 2 too.

Diva, you're excusing your leading questions by claiming to be new to mafia while at the same time seeming to be quite insightful about mafia terminology and tactics?

Who do you find second-most scummy after diva?charlou wrote:Diva, you're excusing your leading questions by claiming to be new to mafia while at the same time seeming to be quite insightful about mafia terminology and tactics?

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 2
After diva .... I haven't got the others sorted, though I agree that Feck is most likely cleared with his role claim. There are aspects of day one's play that really stand out, but the wifom surrounding them in my mind, however minor, means it's too early for me to have any concrete impressions.

Vote Diva
As I said yesterday, i find her trying to play the noob card, but her play suggests she is not new to this.
Feck, devoid of any counterclaim, is absolutely cleared. The OP said, Mason, and not Lover.
I want to hear from Denny because I felt that whole interplay with DP and Feck sounded a bit contrived.
Dunno about Praying. She's off my radar. Anyone want to summarize the suspicion on her, please?

Go back to game day 1, sort posts by author. You'll find Praying's posts on pp. 12-13.Zigmen wrote:Dunno about Praying. She's off my radar. Anyone want to summarize the suspicion on her, please?

vote zigmen you are sounding so scummy right now.
Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 2
Yup. I had already read all of her posts. Read them again to be clear.Linus wrote:Go back to game day 1, sort posts by author. You'll find Praying's posts on pp. 12-13.Zigmen wrote:Dunno about Praying. She's off my radar. Anyone want to summarize the suspicion on her, please?
She voted me based on a "diceroll." She had trouble posting. She had issues with some of the questions about names on different boards.
IOW, unfocused, off topic, random, and overwhelmed by the mire of Ratz' UI.
Scummy? For anyone else, perhaps. Looks like her normal game to me. Ever see the episode of I Love Lucy where Lucy gets a job working on an assembly line at a chocalate factory?
That's Praying on a normal day.
Her Scum game (which she just played at TR) is more on-topic, though slanted and somewhat hard to follow.

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 2
Once more, for the reading impaired...Yes, I have played Mafia Wars before, I played three games and some of the terminology is different and the game mechanics, that is why I am asking fucking questions. I am not a clueless noob, but I have felt kind of clueless during this game, since everyone else is very familiar with each other's play styles, although I am starting to get the hang of it, maybe. I think.charlou wrote:After diva .... I haven't got the others sorted, though I agree that Feck is most likely cleared with his role claim. Nice to meet you, Char Lou. I got my eye on you.

I am not going to revenge vote but let's just say that Azathoth, Zigmen and now Char Lou, whom I think has only posted once so far in this thread and is now voting for me, are all awfully suspicious in my mind.

Currently suffers from Cassandra's curse.

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 2
I wouldn't say willingness to lean towards thinking she is scum. I don't think we can really assume anything about her role in light of that restriction. Aza seemed to be quite sure that it was non town.Linus wrote:Can you clarify the above in light of your below post from day 1, which seemed to indicate a willingness to entertain the scenario that scum might have posting restrictions?Mantisdreamz wrote:Yep, I'd like to hear from Aza and why he might think that Athene's restriction was a non town thing. It definitely seems like an odd incorporation into a role, assuming that no one had actually cursed herMantisdreamz wrote:Also, Zigmen - you mentioned that Ob probably wouldn't roll a scum who has a posting restriction. I don't think we can assume anything about the posting restriction. That's exactly what we did with Gib in the TR game -- and I was convinced that he wasn't scum all the way through. Which really screwed things up...

What is it with the Praying Vote?
I'm just not seeing it.
