Re: Oz Mafia: Day 1 - Revolt!

Post by mononoke » Thu Oct 28, 2010 2:01 pm

So there seems to be two scum-esque teams plus a probable third witch that goes around recruiting people. I'm going to go ahead and assume that two of the scum teams are actually organized and know their members. otherwise this comment
but MunchkinLand and the Land of Winkies are thought to be well organized and led by competent and ambitious witches.
doesn't make sense.

So gibs saying "the first team to organize wins" means that he's either trying to play us for fools or he genuinely believes that scum don't know each other's identities.

so FOS GIBS at the moment. If he doesn't respond I'm going for a lynch

Ah.. Didn't read the OP. So we are probably two teams plus a third team that recruits and we all fight for domination of the city. Let's banish someone and see where it gets us. Anyone been totally silent until now? I like the idea of doing in those (if there are some)

I'm unsure of how many different "teams" there are or what those team's alignments are in this game. I'm thinking the only way to figure that out is to banish someone or have them viewed at this point.

Hmmm. The munchkins and the winkies probably do know each others' identities if they are scum in the traditional sense.

There has to be vanilla town floating around for dorothy to recruit.

Now I'm wondering if the mayor role does, either ...
I dunno, we're supposed to elect a mayor. How do you think that and the scum aspect don't work in this format?

The third "team" may only be, for now, one person.

I think gib should be allowed to play a bit longer, and I'd like to try and
banish Charlou
and see where that leads instead =)

I said, " MunchkinLand and the Land of Winkies are thought to be well organized and led by competent and ambitious witches" sounds like two competing "scum" factions.

Dorothy sounds like a recruiter. So maybe a third faction. She's changed a lot she used to be such a nice girl.

There must be "regular citizens of oz" and it sounds like they might be ruled and/or protected by glinda and ozma. Or at a least they are hoping they are.

Sounds like a fun game.

It's 6AM. that's all I've got for nor now.
That sounds right. So, Glinda and Ozma... yes, it sounds like they could be protectors.

Since there are 2 factions that are well organized - there are probably 2-3 players in each.

And there there is:
Gillikin Country and Quadling Country are too disorganized to be factors in this turmoil
So within each of these, are maybe 4-5 players for each.

And the Dorothy, the recruiter.

Thing is - if there are only 2 players in the organized team, that would mean there are 5 players in each of the disorganized one -- sounds unbalanced though. And if there are 3 in the organized, that would be 4 in the disorganized which sounds unbalanced as well.

Just catching up and thinking out loud...

I suggest we banish a non-poster today...thoughts?
I don't know if that is a good idea.

Non poster - so far it doesn't look like Ghat or ScienceRob has posted.

I just read it through the threads, do you mean Dorthy might be a recruiter like a "mason" or... what was the other one.. I think it was cult?

And I'm curious how someone can be dead yet not dead. Although I guess they might be able to return from banishment.
I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. No not a mason, in general masons can communiate with each other but usually don'thave recruiting powers. It would be a cult type thing or scum that can recruit. Given that it sounds like it's just dorothy, I'd think a cult. And she used to be such a nice girl.

Right, so you admit you're not vanilla town and want to vote for me for saying pretty much the same. And subconsciously you think of me as 'good'.

If someone comes out and says they are vanilla town then great, lynch me. Otherwise you're wasting your vote on me.
