This is true. I had higgs pegged as an experienced player, but this really set off my radar
Oh back off the experienced player crap. <rolls eyes> Go back to those many pm's on game strategy that i sent you that you never acknowledged. Read those. There's no such thing as a ping or a radar, didja know that? Just observation, and thinking things through.
Anger suits you. I observe that you react strongly to words like radar and ping. I observe the vote for Zig. I will think these things through.

(BTW, thanks for wanting to mentor me the last time I was in a mafia game. But that time I was away when you sent the PMs, and when I came back I barely managed to send you one reply. By that time the mafia game was full of people spouting unpleasantries, and I had to take a break from the forum a while, because I became sick of it)
Actually, there are some people who have a knack for spotting scum, and the ping thing really is prolly a good way to describe this. It's just that a lot of times people use those terems andthey really don't mean a think other than a random guess. lol.

Anger does kinda suit me, although I'm not actually angry, just in mafia mode. No worries about teh mentoring thing, hope the Pm's helped a bit. Yes I do remember it became p. nasty.

The reader pulls the first card off the pile and turns it over.

"It is the Nine of Swords (Air). You have tried with great courage and tenacity to resolve your questions and concerns on your own in the past. This speaks well of you. You did not fail easily. Although you do not know what actions could bring you success, you now know very well what actions not to repeat. As the saying goes. 'Try. Fail. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.' And eventually you may succeed."

Mononoke was vanilla town with sprinkles. Tonight she could have chosen one of two actions to perform: tracker or lie detector.

Night actions are due within 11 hours of the Nightfall Post timestamp. Day 2 will start 1 hour after that.

"And we shall see what the next cards reveal."

He's the best candidate so far.

Tarot Mafia: Day 2

The reader places a new card over and across the first card.

Image

It is the Four of Cups (Water).

"This card expands on the background situation revealed by the Nine of Swords, and it also reveals some of the conflicts you have faced. The cups indicate that the conflicts are of feelings and emotions. The three cups are full and inviting, but they are not enough on their own. You have ignored the offering of a fourth cup - a fourth source of emotional support and strength, and this is in part why you have failed to resolve your concerns in the past.

Ghatanothoa was the Four of Cups. He was vanilla town with sprinkles.

Day 1 is under the influence of The Empress (Nature). One player today will be immune to lynch.

Image

Night 1 is under the influence of The Hermit (Recluse). One player tonight will be immune to all night actions.

Normal's sandbagging vote on mononoke yesterday smelled very scummy.

vote Normal

Feck and Ani, you are being way too quiet. Sifaka is almost non-existent.

Higgs and useless, you are both doing less scum hunting than you usually do. Although, higgs, I do see your point about how the whole interchange between zigmen and gallstones doesn't clear them, due to oblivion always using the same wording. I still think they are the most cleared of all players so far.

Someone (Normal, I think) commented on how I'd tried to distance myself from the bandwagon on gallstones. Rubbish. From all of her mafia play I've seen she hadn't done a single scummy thing, hence my question on the aggressiveness of the bandwagon.

Morticia and Mantis seem to be playing pro-town at the moment.

I am hoping someone had a sprinkle of seer and did manage to view charlou, seeing as she's our mayor now.

Currently it is late evening for me. I work tomorrow. If I am not here giving the game my undivided attention it will be because my attention is divided.

I'd hope so too... but, I wouldn't count on it. Mononoke was the seer. :nono:

I made notice that when Mononoke actually revealed his role, both Normal & Feck were online and active at the time - yet, didn't unvote him. Suspicious.

Here are the people that voted him, in order:

Mononoke - Feck, Zigmen, UT, Ghat, Mantis(pulled), Normal, Morticia

Don't know about Feck... but I think that UT & Normal are scum.

vote Normal

I can easily be persuaded to vote UT right now as well. But being that the vote has started on Normal, I'm content to go with that right now.

I'm also suspicious of Charlou.

That struck me at the time too. It's really unfortunate that mononoke left it so late .. but if he'd revealed it early enough to save himself he may well have been hit overnight anyway.

Not sure about UT .. he plays a pretty consistently quiet opening day or two regardless of his role. I'd like to hear more from him and the others who are on the quiet side.

Ani's posting is completely different to last game when he was scum.

higgs seems to be highly strung this game.

morticia is hard to read .. she has an odd combination of confusion and cool sense in her gameplay style .. I'm not inclined to let her continue playing the newbie card ... she's smarter than that.

The game situation at ratskep seems to have recovered so I'm hoping sifaka will contribute more here. She's not getting a free pass.

Mantis plays a consistent game too .. very difficult to read .. which makes me watch her all the more closely.

Irre seems to be scum hunting ... not getting any tells from her yet

Gallstones and Zigmen ... big question marks there ... higgs raised a good point about the PM being pretty standard (I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but didn't make the connection that it might point to their guilt)

On the other hand, higgs accusation might be designed to muddy the water and create doubt that is useful for scum.

I'd like to see a few more posts from people. I noticed zigmen was online and reading this forum when I read the night wrap-up.. but he didn't post. Curious.
