I actually find MZ and Aza more of a concern.

Calm down Feck.Feck wrote:No i think Charlou knew that a mass town outing would be a bad idea to promote because it's a fucking stupid idea if we are to believe both of them are town then we should also be happy to label both of them as illiterate Aza can't read the game set up and Charlou can't read her role PM . I think AZA has an excuse because the game set up was spread over several threads and posts but Charlou can't read or remember the last line of her role PM ?
I did have to go back and read my role PM three times. It's not a standard role PM. There was also the confusion about the game rules and how the code system works. Someone said I seemed to know what was going on, but they obviously didn't notice or they're ignoring the fact that I made errors and had to correct them in later posts. I thought I'd got it initially, but there were a few things that I misunderstood until they were clarified. So, that was going on and the details of my role PM blurred.

there were some specific pings when I read through the thread earlier. I'll dig them up. It's curious that he's come under so little scrutiny today.

It is brazen as fuck ... but then Gonzo got away with it his first game here.Mantisdreamz wrote:I will say though, that even though Aza offered up the option for a mass out, I don't necessarily find that suspicious. It was during the time when we were all trying to figure how to best go about things. It's also a pretty bold thing to say as scum.

Still, I'm not sure Aza would suggest it as scum, right off the bat ... unless he knows something that town don't.

These neat little summary pings.Bolero wrote:Right, boys and girls, I am going to have to go in about 15 minutes. I don't want to be useless to town, but I have so far seen nothing that I think warrants me laying down a vote.
Oblivion's working hard, Feck's in the thick of it, charlou's been posting heaps, and when UT's been online, he's been calm and making sense. MZ seems less involved than his usual self, despite a flurry of activity early on, and diva seems distracted (although I know she's busy with another game on RS). Aza had a drive-by, Gonzo and Mantis I can't get a read on, Athene and Fuzzy have been peripheral, and gib seems to me to be posting in code ... well, it doesn't make sense to me, anyway.
Those are my readings. I know I've left some out, but that's all I could squeeze out of my memory.

Hardly less involved. I'm at work and was previously asleep. And previously, involved in trying to work out what was going on.Bolero wrote:Right, boys and girls, I am going to have to go in about 15 minutes. In the intervening time, there are pages of stuff I'd love to read but just don;t have the time atm.

yeh i'm not at all happy with bolero, pinged a little when the idea bolero was looking towny surfaced
Re: Timebomb Day 1
Yep, completely agree. In this regard we should be playing as we normally would: hunting scum and voting for them. Spreading points means adding points randomly to town and scum .. why would we want to add points to town? I'll add my FOS to this idea from MZ.oblivion wrote:spreading votes out is a bad idea IMO. Look for objectively scummy stuff, or for meta that indicates an anti-town orientation and focus on those players.

Early game musing Oblivion. You needed to be there to understand the total confusion.oblivion wrote:this post pinged. spreading the votes around puts more players at risk of being pushed over the top by scum night actions. We should be trying to find scum, not trying to spread the votes around each night.Magicziggy wrote:So, 13 players, each with a vote, plus the mayor, that's 14 points. Then night actions, let's say a net 1 point, given there seems to be the ability to lose points at night. So 15 points accumulating every day. And the game finishes when the resulting carnage leaves one team a winner. ie, scum has parity or town has eliminated all scum.
Seems reasonable.
So it's not about a player having the most votes, but spreading the votes around. And keeping track of who should be upto 5. Scum must have some ability to knock off votes to baffle us, so whoever we think is scum will need to be over killed. Maybe 7 or 8 votes should do the trick.
As for duration? Three scum? 10 town.
I'll assume no indie. That would be too complicated.
5 days to get the required armed vests?
So even the odd vote accumulated will count.
Hmm... fascinating.

Obviously I don't know. That's why the ? And I was just trying to get a grip on the game.Mantisdreamz wrote:Yea, and how did he know it would be 5 days? or was that just a guess? Because, as far as I know, Zigmen said it would be after a 'substantial time'
And why is voting so weird Oblivion.
A 36 hour day. Surely we are able to test the waters. We don;t have to depart from tried and tested methods.
