Re: MGS3: Snake Eater Mafia - Tactical Espionage Action DAY
To the other specials ... I'm going to paraphrase the part of my PM that hasn't already been revealed by Gonzo. If your PMs are similar, this may help verify my claim.
I was asked to PM Gonzo the name of the player I would like to protect (ex. Protect ___) from nightkills each night. I was told I may send Gonzo the target's name during the day phase if I wish to get my action to Gonzo in for certain.

Everyone has either played townish or has something flavor wise in there favor.

If you think I'm lying, what's favourable flavourwise about my claim?

I don't want to out the nature of my device and its other capabilities, but we're probably in a strong enough position to do so safely. I can tell you it's "kill" capability has expired.charlou wrote:If Zigmen's vanilla now, with some mystery device, he's a good choice for the lynch today. I hope his mystery device kills the first person on his bw. That would suit me fine.

It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

amok found and posted:THE SETTING:
Metal Gear Solid 3 is set during the Cold War in 1964, where a CIA agent, codenamed "Naked Snake", is sent to the jungles of Tselinoyarsk, in the USSR. Aided over radio by Major Zero, Para-Medic, and his former mentor The Boss, his mission is to rescue a defecting Soviet scientist named Sokolov who is secretly developing an advanced nuclear-equipped tank called the "Shagohod". The mission goes smoothly until The Boss defects and provides her new benefactor, Colonel Volgin, with two Davy Crockett miniature nuclear shells. Sokolov is captured by Cobra Unit and Snake is heavily injured in combat by The Boss, allowing Volgin and his cohorts to escape with Sokolov. Volgin detonates one of the nuclear shells to cover up its theft, which is subsequently blamed on The Boss.
Having detected the U.S. aircraft which deployed Snake flying over Soviet soil, the Soviet Union declares the United States responsible for the nuclear attack, tipping both nations to the edge of a nuclear war. In a secret conference between U.S. President Lyndon Johnson and Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev, a deal is hatched to prove the U.S.'s innocence and restore peace. The United States agrees to stop Volgin's renegade faction, destroy the stolen Shagohod and eliminate the American defector, The Boss.
One week after being rescued from the region, Snake has been redeployed into the Soviet jungle as part of "Operation: Snake Eater", to fulfill the United States' promises. During the mission, he will have the assistance of another American defector, who defected a few years earlier. Your mission is to eliminate 'Naked Snake' and the traitor who is playing both sides of the fence as well as any other threats to the Soviet Union's national security.
Why are you claiming to be Sokolov, and GRU, Zigmen?amok wrote:Sokolov doesn't seem to be GRU in the game.
In 1964, American intelligence discovered why the Soviets had needed Sokolov to return, so the CIA planned the Virtuous Mission in order to bring him back to the US. In August, FOX agent Naked Snake successfully infiltrated Tselinoyarsk and headed to Rassvet, where he found Sokolov burning documents relating to the Shagohod's development. Sokolov initially thought that Snake was one of Colonel Volgin's men from GRU, until Snake identified himself and his mission, as well as giving him a personal message from Major Zero. Although the two succeeded in escaping the area, Snake was soon confronted by his former mentor The Boss, who claimed that she was defecting to the Soviet Union. After incapacitating Snake, Sokolov was abducted by The Boss's Cobra Unit, to take as a "gift" for Volgin, with whom they had allied with. Volgin's forces also kidnapped a supposed KGB operative named Tatyana, who they believed to be Sokolov's lover.

Yes, I lied. As I explained, I was trying to draw Scum to target me, which is not easy for a vanilla Townie.charlou wrote:Zigmen lied first time round. I don't believe him this time.
And I am wondering how you don't believe me. There was obviously a Scum Kill last night, but i wasn't revived until this morning. I'm the most cleared player we have, imho, because unless there was 4 Scum and a Traitor to begin with, there's no way I could be Scum.
Also, i still have the device, which comes in handy later but can be proven quite easily at any time.
So, your vote on me and general suspicions are not only baseless, but provably incorrect.
##Unvote##
I'm thinking Contra or UT for the Snake. Gonna reread and come back after dinner with my final choice.

Oh, I think we now have two town threats still in play.
I agree on UT for snake.
Any of your claim is proven how?

Re: MGS3: Snake Eater Mafia - Tactical Espionage Action DAY
zig we probably did have 4 scum and a traitor to begin with. if you are another town special 3 scum would have been way to light imo. if you are scum by definition we have two more since the game didn't end between lynching mz and you reviving.

charlou wrote: Why are you claiming to be Sokolov, and GRU, Zigmen?
I'm relaying it from my role PM. It says I'm Sokolov. It says I'm GRU.
A quick search of the terms showed this:
Back in the hands of the Soviet Union, Sokolov resumed his work on the Shagohod at design bureau OKB-754, though he and the Shagohod were captured by Colonel Volgin and Major Ocelot of the GRU and sent to Groznyj Grad. There, Sokolov brought the Shagohod near its final stage of completion.
Looks to me like my character builds devices for GRU. Beyond that, you'd have to ask the GM.

Simple. If we get a general consensus that we want me to reveal my device's capabilty, I will reveal it. Then, I will use the device, and the effect will be exactly as I stated. It will waste a cool move for us, though. Pretty sure we won't need it to win, so I'm cool either way.charlou wrote:Oh, I think we now have two town threats still in play.
