Is it more town-mantis to knock down other players' theories, or to build her own? I think it's the former. this is why her scum game is so difficult to spot. But something does seem a little off today.

I think mantis' style is to kind of agree to others' theories, while adding uncertainty and WIFOM in. I tend to not go after her, unless it's like last game where I got a sense that she was sitting back, waiting to see which way the wind was blowing, before making commentary or putting down a vote.

what do you think of her play so far?

Yes, after I submitted my post I realised that she is doing exactly as I described. But her day 1 play is often like that (late vote, no concrete observations).

Hm. I'm pretty sure I was making observations there though.

So far I've got that DP looks legit to me.

Aza might not have seen that - and voted for him. Ob might have wanted to get an early vote out - and found a good spot.

(I'm onto her today for some reason).

And Callan, seemed to throw in a few joking posts here and there.

Gib and mono -- not enough yet.

Mantis, I actually agree. I think your game day is different from the last few. I'm not sure if that is scummy, townie, or indie, though.

games with a strong indie presence (more than 1 or 2) absolutely give me fits. lots of not-quite-town behavior to try to sort out.

I usually don't mayor vote. The last game was a bit of anomaly. You'd have to go back to the Simpsons game to find another time when I voted mayor.

I usually only vote mayor when I care about the results - when the leader doesn't strike me as a good pick for mayor. Right now, I don't have a problem with any of the people who have been voted.

@squid, I played 11 games in a row as scum, someone getting 2 or 3 isn't unusual.

I'm looking at gib and mono and seeing my scum game, lurk for a couple of days and try to avoid attention.
