Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 1
Hmm. I hadn't seen Linus' vote when I posted that. Not comfortable with Linus climbing on a speculative bandwagon then hittin' da club.
Think I'll unvote for now.

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 1
By the way Linus' vote count was wrong. MZ unvoted off me, voted zigmen than unvoted after my first post. AFAIK his vote's not on me or anyone atm.
Assuming Linus' other vote counts are correct (and I haven't checked), the updated count would be:
gonzo: 2 (ut, linus)
zigmen: 2 (dp, irre)
mz: 2 (nellikin, zigmen)
charlou: 1 (denny)
athene: 1 (aza)
linus: 1 (higgs)
dp: 1 (mantis)
(no active vote: diva, praying, feck, gonzo, charlou, athene, bolero, magicziggy, MSG)

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 1
I am not going to actively vote for someone to get lynched yet...I simply do not have enough to go on.
I have been keeping up with reading the thread, and I must say, it truly warms the heart to see such paranoia. My FOS is still firmly on Aza and now maybe a little on Linus, just because of his aggressiveness and his reasoning to me seems skewed. But I could be wrong.
So I might not vote on this first day round. But I will be fully participating in the lynching later, once I have more to go on.
I guess I did not formerly say it before, so I will now,
Vote Irre
for mayor.

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 1
I'm leaning on the side of voting DP atm. His contribution stands out. Although zigmen is still high on my list.
If I had to vote to save myself, I'd be voting zigmen. Othewise DP. I need to look through Linus posts and see if they are of substance.
I'll be back after dinner to deliberate.

Is it normal that we all sit around with bated breath waiting for Magicziggy to pass judgement?

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 1
He was the don in that game and got voted in as mayor. Completely different kettle of fish if he's regular scum this game.Mantisdreamz wrote:I find the votes on Gonzo slightly strange. Because UT, when he played here last he was scum - and was all up front.Uselesstwit wrote:hmmmm, that was a real drive by on gonzo's part. That seems totally out of character for him, who's used to his play style, that's not how he played in the game I was in with him.

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 1
Isn't possible that being cursed is not GM affliction but down to a player on night 0?Mantisdreamz wrote:Also, Zigmen - you mentioned that Ob probably wouldn't roll a scum who has a posting restriction. I don't think we can assume anything about the posting restriction. That's exactly what we did with Gib in the TR game -- and I was convinced that he wasn't scum all the way through. Which really screwed things up...
And if that player is town, then the target would be random.
And what about night 0, if not recruitment, what?

Charlou is also a good candidate for viewing imo.charlou wrote:Hi all .. I've just returned from a couple of days away ... and off to work soon, so only have a small window of time to post today .. I've read all the posts so far but have too little time to give them due consideration so will not vote today. I'll look in again after work.

Is seriously affecting my skill at diction
Grumble aside, this post bothers me
Not voting is not really pro-town, do you see?
Most of us here have little info
Yet we vote with what we have so
Others can see and learn from what we do
Otherwise they won't have a clue
Scum not voting to try and avoid attention
Would be my interpretation
Of this post
Some word that rhymes with post
vote divaqueen

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 1
I don't think the restriction has affected you at all actually.
And you do make a very good point. It's something new players have to learn about the need to influence thinking by voting when town. And obviously scum do it because they want to look townish and get town players lynched.
Hmm.. I do think she's scummy. But wouldn't a team have reigned her in and suggested she vote? Not sure.
I'm leaning Gonzo on a re-read. His play last game was confident and informed. He was the Don. This is the complete opposite. One drive by vote. I'll wait and see if he shows.
