The only thing that I found wonky about r.c. was that the OP was out by 10:28am and he had last logged in at 10:50am. I chalked it up to newishness hesitancy about posting rather than scum hesitancy. I was trying to track to see if he had night moves but the last read on the OP made it unclear.

You rush into the gate room to see that the shield over the Stargate has been retracted and the Gate has been activated.. You look up at the control room window above and see that two people are strugglling. You bound up the stairs and into the room. They are locked together, hands tight around each other's throats. They both look famiiar...and very human. But one has to be scum. Two hands reach out toward the gate dialing keyboard. One will slap in the final configuration and open the gate, and one one will deactivate it. You can't put this off. You choose. And fire.

Too late, you swing back toward the control panel. The gate is activated and even as you bring the gun up, more armored Jaffa are pouring through the gate and filling up the gate room. The agonizing bolt from a zat gun is the last thing you feel.
