Re: Stargate SG1 - Day 5
It's the number of communication stones that concerns me. Why two? It does add to my thinking that they're simply just masons. They may be looking for someone else? I don't know, but what I do know is that Zigmen's posts have not been pro-town, and ksen's been behaving as though he's been aligned with Zigmen since yesterday.higgs2 wrote:What is the concern with the stones. Do you really think that the last two scum would suddenly claim masonwhen they're not really under any suspicion? That's the part that I'm not getting.
amok, I can only go with my suspicions as they are now. I suspect one or both of Zigmen and ksen are a threat to town. Zigmen ensured we were aware of that possibility in his first post today.
What do you think of the timing of Zigmen's first post today, and him later saying they learned this stuff 30 minutes after daybreak?
ksen's been online since I've been posting these last couple of hours.

Re: Stargate SG1 - Day 5
Bear with me if this turns into a X-post... I'm tying to think on screen here.
Best case scenario: We lynch KSen (or Zigmen) today, the flip reveals Scum, I kill the other one. If the game doesn't end, you lynch Amok. Town wins.
Less good scenario: We lynch KSen (or Zigmen) today, and the flip reveals Town Special. Doc protects either his/herself or the other Town Special in the Mason pair (so Scum won't know exactly who to hit), and we pin down the most logical Night Kill for me. Less certain, but the numbers might still be with Town. (I think, please don't make fun of my arithmetic non-skills - ha! - help me out.)
Even if Zigmen and KSen are Town, they'll still win in the long run, right? As part of the team?
Worst option I see right now is lynching either Athene or Charlou, because even if one of them is Scum, it doesn't necessarily follow that both of them are Scum. Whatever the flip, we'd still be unsure about too many people. I guess it would confirm the KSen/Zigmen claim, but even at that, they could still be just wrong about about who the remaining Scum is (like most of us have been day in and day out).
Does that make sense? Am I missing something?

It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

They work like cellphones or walkie talkies, i assume. 1 for each of us.charlou wrote:Zigmen wrote:You need to read this:
1) We've asked Oblivion for permission to reveal our WB. No answer yet.
2) I am Catherine Langford, the daughter of the archaeologist who discovered the Stargate, and I have 2 relics from that dig which are communicator stones (blue ovals).
3) Ksen (Dr. Daniel Jackson) was searching players (he is an archeologist) until he found me. I shared a stone with him, and now we can speak.
We got this ability about 30 minutes before daybreak.
You say you have two communicator stones ... why two?
re the bit I've bolded ... You posted your first post today 6 minutes after oblivion's daybreak OP.

Who is the other communication stone for?Zigmen wrote:Athene, I was initially told in my role PM that I had 2 blue oval stones. I was not told their purpose.
I kept this secret. Why, because who knows what they were for? They could have been an item that allowed Scum to recruit if they found them, for all i knew. So, I ignored them.
Last night, about 30 minutes before Daybreak, I got a PM CCing me, Gib, and Ksen. The PM quoted Ksen's search order.
Oblivion said, essentially, that Ksen had found the Stones I carried, that they were communication Stones, that I shared one with Ksen, and that we may now speak freely outside the thread,
A writeboard was set up by Oblivion, and a password was given to us.
Ksen and I were both online, so we spoke a bit, and decided to out our new positions. We also decided to lead with votes on athene to inspire her to post, but that we leaned toward Charlou being Scum as well.
Our WB content at this point largely consists of messages for Diva to read in the postgame. They are quite civil messages, actually.

Okay, I see you've answered the stones question.

Yes, you're missing that Ksen and I are cleared by character claims.amok wrote:Bear with me if this turns into a X-post... I'm tying to think on screen here.

But, you're close to a workable solution.

Re: Stargate SG1 - Day 5
As ksen pointed out after someone mentioned oblivion often saves a couple of good safe claim names, you have very prominent character claims ... I've already noted how quick you were to try to salvage cred after that post of ksen's: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 19#p951819Zigmen wrote:Yes, you're missing that Ksen and I are cleared by character claims.

Wow. If that's true, (and I'm being sincere about this) I really admire your self-control. I'd have been dropping hints like crazy. Maybe not right away, but after a while for sure. Two blue oval stones. I'd have been blue-ing and oval-ing and stone-ing all over the place.Zigmen wrote:Athene, I was initially told in my role PM that I had 2 blue oval stones. I don't like you undermining other player's play in order to make yourself appear better. I am not the only one that you have done this to. If you are scum, this is typical scum. If you are town, stop it.Zigmen wrote:Whatever you took as abrasive is on you. Was it the check-boxes?divagreen wrote:

Re: Stargate SG1 - Day 5
Oblivion already knows about the message and the content. The rest of the players needn't worry, it has absolutely no game content in it.Zigmen wrote:And Bilirubin, keep your Zombie PMs to yourself. Wait til postgame, genius.

As scum have safe claims, we're all cleared by your logic.Zigmen wrote:Yes, you're missing that Ksen and I are cleared by character claims.
Town, if you're unwilling to lynch either Zigmen or ksen, please lynch me rather than Athene. I know I'm expendable vanilla town.
