Because sk's usually are loose canons and end up nk'ing a lot of town. Maybe when you're scum it's not like that, but I have been on scum teams that have decimated town with nk's from sk's and scum. Just the odds of hitting town instead of scum help scm. Do you disagree? It is extremely unusual for an sk to have a wc that is not last man standing. And if that is their win condition it doesn't matter whether they kill scum or town since they have to kill everyone.

Seems like it would be quite a gamble for scum to claim masons, esp. if they are the last 2 scum.

Scum likes sk's because sk's often kill town. Epecially if they are not outed and not trying to work with town. You'll notice that post was from tuesday, had a lot happen after that.

I tried to go along with keeping amok by voting fuzy last nite but I was on my kindle browser which sucks and every time I posted my vote i had a cross post and got a rude message about how slow I am. I tried at least 5 times, then gave up. i didn't put down any vote.

I had begun to think bili was scum, so now have to recalibrate. TElling zig to claim special struck me wrong.
Thanks, Higgs.

Would you agree that Athene and Charlou look the scummiest today?

I don't know zig. they are p. quick to try to get you two lynched/killed. THat always makes me suspicious when people are so aggressive right off the bat with surprise news.

Athene hasn't posted yet, I don't think.

I mainly mean by process of elimination, where else would Scum be hiding. If you rule out Me and Ksen as Masons (and Amok as indy), and then rule out Diva and RC for supporting the idea of keeping Amok alive, and yourself of course, that only leaves Charlou and Athene.

See any flaws in that from your personal perspective (assuming you know your role)?

Sorry. Athene was messing with the amok thing yesterday which made me me think of her being uncooperative; but Charlou didn't even consider your claim before voting I think.

I can't rule out diva and rc. The support is perhaps in their favor, but I'm not totally convinced. Scum would like to keep amok alive if they could get her to kill bili, wouldn't they? And then kill her if she becomes a pain. I'm not saying that this is the case for sure, but it is a possibility.

I'm p. sure about you guys, but can't help thinking that masons always know each others' alignment.

We were not told each other's alignment.

We had to figure it out by character name, mechanics, and the wiki.

Given what we know, there's no way we think the other is Scum.

And Diva and RC are lightly cleared, imho.

Scum would not want a Town aligned SK, and Scum were the only people who knew yesterday that Amok wasn't Scum, right?

Diva, this post-game discussion is going to center largely on your ability or inability to see that the Mason's have a strong character claim.

It's not time to LOL.

It's time to look at what's happening and figure it out.

And frankly, you shrugging off the discussion as some sort of farse is the first thing i'm going to point to when we lose (right after slagging Bili for his abismal game).

Good question; when all threats to Town are eliminated.

While that may mean Indies, it may not.
Zig, yesterday I asked you to explain more about this, you didn't answer the question.

Yup, I wanted to get her lynched and if we'd done that we would have been down one sk indie who more then likely has a last man standing win condition, instead of two townies.

Amok claims a survivor condition. If you're suggesting she's lying about that and nothing else, I wonder why she would lie about that one thing?

Also, Amok is town aligned, which is uncontestable at this point. She's also an SK which cannot be argued.

So, in answer to your question, a GM can design an SK with variable win conditions. So, I said what i said above because we do not know the game mechanics, though you seem to.

But, luckily, while we were stipulating the agreement with Amok, we made it quite clear that if amok strays from Town's choices for NKs, or IF WE KILL THE FINAL SCUM AND THE GAME CONTINUES, SHE WILL HAVE TO DIE.

Did you miss that whole thing?

That covers the whole win condition problem without hamstringing our kill abilities.

Who do you think seems most cleared and most suspicious?

Neither circumstance killed a Scum, did it?

So, we're no closer to winning.
