There are 10 town left today assuming it's just us and them.

If we can get a townie lynched today, then tomorrow it will be 8 - 3. At that point we have a real shot at making it to a 3-1 or 2-1 endgame or better. We can win this if we get at least one untainted scum that far.

Tonight we should probably kill higgs2 unless we get some role claims today.

Looks like I might live another day, meph is well on his way to being lynched today.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

It's early, but yeah it looks like we might have and eight to 3 game tomorrow. And yeah we need to keep blip alive, she's just our best friend.

Hey, I just remembered something I was going to show you yesterday. It's this post of yours:

http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 75#p463596
It is to bad vir was killed, he was making a lot of sense yesterday.
This post contained two scum tells. First, it smacked a little bit of cheerleading for town. Inexperienced scum tend to make posts that are happy-clappy over a good-for-town night kill or  over a bad-for-town night kill. The second reason this was a tell was that although you commented that virphen was making sense the day before he was killed, you didn't follow his lead in your vote that day.

I wondered if anyone would pick up on this. It seems like ratz mafia is all about the voting patterns, which are useful. But there are other ways to catch scum that work earlier in the game.

Good points, the sad part is I've had to stop myself from posting things that are even more obvious. Trying to act clueless is harder than it looks. I'd love to manipulate our votes so that they don't trigger a reaction like meph is seeing today. But whole bandwagons seem to come out of the thinnest suspicions here.

Doesn't look like it will be an issue today, but if one of us comes under a serious threat of being lynched we should consider claiming to be the seer.

If I were going to claim seer, I would claim the following views:

night 1 - Virphen, town
night 2 - animavore, town
night 3 - twinkie, town
night 4 - blip, town (only after today)

They would have to decide whether to lynch animavore or blip to prove my reads, or to lynch me to prove them. I'm choosing these first 3 views because two were mayor, and because I made a pretty big deal of animavore looking townish on day 2 and 3. I'll say I wanted to confirm him since so many people thought he looked scummy, and I wanted to confirm the mayors because it's too dangerous to have a potentially scum mayor.

If there is a seer, a false claim could draw him/her out of hiding.

If you want to consider this, then based on your own in-thread comments, figure out who you would claim you had viewed. Do this in advance, because it totally sucks trying to think on your feet with a lynch-pressured false claim. This will only work once in a game, so whoever gets to that point first should decide whether to try this or to fight the lynch in a different way.

I can't believe J.A. used my little poem in his OP today, some of the Ratz regulars might connect that with my sense* of humour

*Relative term.

Or they might think it's the GM's sense of humor coming out in the game flavor. That would have been my first thought if I didn't know the origin.

Tomorrow if we can get people to start lynching the nonvoters, we'll be able to just walk to a victory.
I say we leave blip alone instead of continuing our trend of killing the mayors. I'm really not concerned about any of them right now. Do either of you see any signs of a special that we could hit?

I don't see any players that are behaving in ways I recognize as a special. It's possible one of the quiet players are specials lying low, I guess.

Yeah, my whole bit of theater was because I don't think we want to kill Blip tonight or tomorrow.

I think we should kill higgs2. She's getting warmer, though she hasn't latched on to a scum player yet.

I was thinking Timinane, if there is a cop I feel it's probably him. But if you want to take out Higgs I'll go with that.

cop = seer, right? can view players and learn their alignment? Why do you think he's the cop?

I'd put timane before higgs as well. I really think we can get higgs onto witti tomorrow without to much problems. Hell I think we can get most of them onto witti tomorrow without to much fuss.
