Yesterday Ghat said SR was *a* vigilante, not *the* vigilante, which made me wonder if we might have more than one.

Yes, it is often worth doing that. Then when they hurriedly start posting, having a little look at how much is worthwhile (for town) content and how much, er, isn't. Just for fun, I've put yesterday's post count in descending order:

Charlou 14
Dennybvig 12
DontPanic 9
Zigmen 9
Ani 7
ScienceRobvig 7
Blip the blameless 5
Bart roberts 4
TheManeki 4
Feckvanilla scum 3
gib 3
higgs2 3
irretating 1
totals 0
Morticia 0

Now, you folks know each other better than I do, mostly. Anything jump out at you so far?
Yep, I'm way too active and Irre is too quiet. Those counts would normally be the other way around.

Charlou, I'd say that I'm generally comparatively quiet whatever my role (compared to some of the very flamboyant players with whom I normally hang out, that is, I seem to be positively garrulous in here so far). I do adopt a higher profile when I'm town, attempting to put statistical information on the table. Perhaps some of those who've been in a game with me before would comment (obviously they will anyway, if they wish, without invitation or permission from me).

I never lose my sense of humour when playing, though, which brings us to:
higgs2 wrote:Blip is your "scum hunting" going to consist of anything more than counting peoples' posts and then saying things in that butter won't melt in your mouth sarcastic style? Good way to hide as scu but actlike you're doing something important.
Now that's another very aggressive response - surprisingly so, higgs2. Perhaps that's your style? I'm a great believer in looking for patterns and I for one can't spot patterns without data.

Well, I'm going to be in a training session for MS Project from 11-5 EST today, so I'll pop back after that. I'm supposed to be in it from 9-5 tomorrow as well, but hopefully we'll cover everything faster than that.

My suspicion is on Mort and Totals, but I'll withhold my vote until right before I have to go to work.

Vote Mort

It's not like her to not post for this long.

Oh I think I see what you were saying now. But an SK wouldn't really balance things out for scum enough to compensate or 2 town vig's because sk'a are indie, right?

Guys i'm feeling kinda ill today and need to go to bed the moment i finish work. Just wanted to say i still think Blip was acting a bit weird yesterday, i.e. me: this is my very first game, Blip: is this your very first game? But right now i'm starting to suspect Higgs. Usually she's very chatty and seems to be a little too quiet. Yeh yeh, i know, kid's birthday. Still.

Mind you, Bart was a little odd too, he could have just said he was town but instead said he didn't want to lie. I know Bart is an honest guy and so perhaps he really doesn't want to lie.

So those are my thoughts so far and i hope to see you all in about 15 or 16 hours time.

Hehehe DP, I was going to say the same thing. The reason my count was down was because the round started at my bedtime, and by the time I got online the day was extremely well under way. DP's game has been entirely different... I'm more inclined to think it's because he's celebrating at beating the bogey of being scum, but it could be that he is indeed scum again and has thought  and realised he couldn't play his normal game. I'm on the fence at the moment, and I would love the seer to read him.

This is true. But you are playing a bit differently this game. I'm watching you :what:

This is true. Blip is a helpful player (statistics and what not) regardless of team alignment. A hard to read player.

Morticia and totals, not showing up is..well.. a poor showing.

Partly enjoying being town, it's nice not having to watch my posting for anything that might give me away; and partly having the game in a good timezone for me, Day ends are 1pm and 1am for me so I can get posts in at some stage during all the day rounds.

Did you notice BR just voted and disappeared? No reasons, no suspicions, just a vote and gone. That coupled with his posts yesterday is earning him a FoS from me, and probably a vote unless a better target presents itself.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.
