So did Mantis enable part of my role then?
I don;t get that bit.

Re: Carnivale - Day 6
Mono and I's role meant that if one was recruited the other would die. That's how I knew there was a recruiter. I said my role meant that I couldn't be recruited because I didn't want to give out my real role.

Well played, scum.
Magnificently fought, Higgs.
Thanks for a nicely-balanced game, Oblivion.

Re: Carnivale - Day 6
This is the first time I've run a cult game. From what I'd seen they were extremely tricky to balance because the cult can easily go viral - they will expand every night while the cult leader lives, while the other groups in the game dwindle. OTOH if the cult leader dies very early, the game becomes a long, slow boring slog for the players.
I chanced it anyway, with a night zero to get the cult established and 3 unrecruitable town players to hopefully put just enough of a brake on the cult. The backup seer was also supposed to help balance the cult in the midgame, but Charlou was recruited on the night she would have been activated.
I chewed nails a few times.
I used the most difficult indie role of all: an SK with a last man standing win condition. If I had let her win by surviving until another team won, she would have been motivated to help whoever was ahead rather than balance the two factions.

Yeah, Higgs you are a fucking legend. I'd never have guessed.
Re: Carnivale - Day 6
and Charlou's smiley restriction thing on D1?
Re: Carnivale - Day 6
Ah...Mantis.
Mantis would have enabled recruited specials to keep their night actions while she was alive. When mantis drew that role I was very nervous because she tends to survive long into the game. When you guys lynched her on day 1 I was amazed. and a little relieved. I had misgivings about using an enabler.

My role was to wifom every twist and turn.
Seriously, my role was as I stated. I haven't had to tell a single lie in this game.
