Well, at least you know the rest of the process works.

But the captcha is there for a very good reason.

I have it on admin approval. I'd really love for the Captcha to work.

There are some discussions out on the web about issues with the phpBB captcha, but everything about phpBB is potentially version specific.

You might want to look at upgrading Hyperwar GHQ to the most recent stable version of PhPBB first (from 3.0.10 to 3.0.11), although that's just a maintenance update. Still, it might fix the problem.

I should put an email addy for people who can't work it out. Some US students would be baffled I think. Plus there are places that use Hyperwar exclusively for their English language sources on WWII.

Good point. It might also be possible to include a link to somewhere (wiki article?) that gave the answer to a question in such a way that a bot still couldn't do anything.
