Problem is I need a quick fix so I can get the forum up and run by the 1st. The confirmation code doesn't show, so people can't sign up. I would prefer not to turn it off, but right now I don't have any other choice.

If you mean that you want to remove the Captcha, just log into the ACP, click on "Spambot countermeasures" in the left navigation bar, select "disable" in the first option on that page and hit submit.

I don't want to remove it, I want it to work. I know how to disable it.

You could also select one of the other options on the list, there are several. One might work.

I could see the Captcha image in the Control Panel. DP might have gotten it fixed and didn't tell me.

There are some discussions out on the web about issues with the phpBB captcha, but everything about phpBB is potentially version specific.

You might want to look at upgrading Hyperwar GHQ to the most recent stable version of PhPBB first (from 3.0.10 to 3.0.11), although that's just a maintenance update. Still, it might fix the problem.
