Except it don't work.
Can you elaborate? I used to use it quite often to clean up a whole site.

Okay, check me please.

I have a document that has every instance of (X) ("X" being a lower case letter). The OCR program didn't always recognize the italics however. This goes on for 120+ pages. So I want to try the following in Textpad.

Replace all instances of >(a)< with ><i>(a)</i>< and then removed duplicate <i> codes.
Then I want to replace <i>(a)</i> with (<i>a</i>)

I have to do this for (a), a. and 1. paragraph markers.

Are there any traps you can see there?

Tanks. I'm starting to get a system going here.

And tank again for recommending Textpad. Very friendly program. I guess I'll have to live with poke-and-peek. :sigh:

I use more feature rich IDEs now, but I still recall TextPad as an excellent text editor with better regex features than any other I tried.

Okay, I want to make

<td class=cell>
<p>

into

<td class=cell><p>

When I paste it into the "find what" box I see:

<td class=cell>\n<p>

What regex would I use to get what I want? :begging:

C stands for Cunt. That's what I think of programming in C. Fine while you don't get errors. Get a fucking error and try and work out the unintelligible error description. I had one in my university studies that my Lecturer couldn't even work out. We both went over the code multiple times and couldn't see why it wouldn't work. And I was a fucking brilliant C programmer, and she was better. It's a cunt of a language to program in.

"Seth you are a boon to this community" - Cunt.
"I am seriously thinking of going on a spree killing" - Svartalf.

C was my first programming language - I learned it around age 10 - so it has a special place in my heart. By my troth, I do prefer C++.. but C calls to me always with the siren call.. beckoning me to perform arduous character operations..

She was my first love.

First, it's "<td>\n<p".

Second, it doesn't seem to work when they're on separate lines. :cry:
