Firefox done gone tranny on me.

Uninstall does not do anything anymore. Windows has other shit to sell you. So uninstall and reinstall is just hide and seek.

You need to delete your profiles, and possibly other "chrome" shit (technical term; nothing to do with google's browser). Firefox will be in two places, the program location, plus the profile, chrome & history section. The latter is usually in your windows user profile under either app data or.... one second.... make backup copies first, then delete.

C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Mozilla
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla

It's searching for more, but I think that's it. Delete the program folder and those, then reinstall. I'll update if I missed something.

Pop in a linux live cd - distro of your choice.
Open the console
Determine which device contains your windoze partition
Enter this command: shred -vfz -n 10 /dev/***
*** may be HDA HDB HDA1 HDC SDA SDA1 SDB etc..

Nah it was a nerd joke - like telling you to delete c:/windows or system32

What it would do is erase all data on your drive, rewrite the entire drive with random data 10 times sequentially then erase it again. It's a clean sweep not even Navy Intelligence could scrub data from.

I can make 9.0 sit up and beg. I gave up on 11.0, but 9.0 is usable and I send vast amounts of material through it. If anything interferes with my mission then it's a non-starter for me.

Apparently "%40 faster" than previous versions and versions for other OS. It's an SDK though so you'd have to develop your own application using the engine and provided API. Probably a non-starter.

Well, I didn't find any more folders with that label. Moved them to an external drive. Now to reboot and try this shit again. BRB
