That's weird, yes?
Cool, Pappa. You've got some good examples for us!!!

Yes and no. Yes, because you wouldn't expect it and it appears totally random. No, because there are a good list of things that induce a lot of cats to want to mark them based on smell and texture. These things include (but the list is not exhaustive):

(your two above)
damp towels, esp. if mildewed, or other mildewed linens
moldy stuff, esp. carpet/linens
throw rugs
suitcases*
bath mats
dirty laundry baskets or piles

(*this is an interesting one and might be explained twofold...)

I tend to classify all these things into MESSAGE TWO. Sometimes, they are part of MESSAGE THREE. So we'll touch on these a tiny bit soon!

But I gotta go to work! Thanks for everyone's input. :D

Cool.
And there was me thinking the cat had a plastic fetish/phobia.

Or perhaps the plastic just has a golden shower fetish?

I agree completely Cwazy. Unlike dogs, cats are too stupid to understand or act on anger or revenge. They're just furry purring shitheads. That's why I'm a dog person. I know when my dog shits in my shoes he's got a deep story to tell and he knows I'm the one too stupid to understand.

:hilarious:

That is so funny because clearly the stereotype is that cats are conniving as shit and dogs are numb-skulls. (Which is mostly true...)

Take that back or I will cut you down where you stand!

I agree with BAA.

Furthermore, for each day you delay a retraction I shall capture and microwave a live cat.

BAA,

Until Cwazy retracts her horrible lies i say we hijack her thread and convert it to a tip forum for cat torture.

Cat Torture Tip #27 (thanks to Eric, a kid at my bus stop in 6th grade who demonstrated this to us)

1. Get two cats.
2. Make sure their collars are on tight and tie them together with a strong rope.

After a few minutes of dragging each other about, the cats will get into a terrible fur-flying, bloody, catterwalling fight that can last for over an hour!

Fun fun fun!!!!!

Big baby calling to mommy?

Just take back your defamatory dog libel and all will be forgiven.

   Yeah babe - keep whistling in the wind!

If you really want attention you gotta learn the drill. You gotta start flirting with all the guys - especially if they're mods/admins. And then you need to give them some personal attention behind the scenes to make them feel "special". Also, you gotta plaster nice sexy pics of yourself all over the forum.

If you do a very good job you won't have to even ask the mods for help. Your ordinary minions would have come to your rescue demanding that BAA and I stop derailing your thread.

But if that doesn't work, then all you need to do is send a male mod a nice message. You'll ask them how their day was, how their sick dog is, and then playfully and innocently flirt awhile. Then, only as a little trivial tidbit, all you gotta do is say something like, "did you see the way that FUWF derailed my thread? It didn't really bother me - no biggie. but I wish he would stop"

Problem solved.

To suggest, Feddy, that a cat woman would ever stoop to such levels... :nono:

I'm disappointed, even though I should have expected as much from you.

I am sure BAA will--of his own accord--come to see the error in his ways. :tea:

Right, BAA? :sarah:
