We were bugs once

Not really explaining the split of proksryotes and eukaryotes well, but yeah.
https://www.npr.org/sections/13.7/2018/ ... -organisms

After analyzing genes from 2,000 modern microbes sequenced over the past 20 years, the researchers found 355 gene families that appeared frequently among the microbes, suggesting that they shared a common origin. Once analyzed, the DNA evidence indicated that LUCA was anaerobic (lived in the absence of oxygen) and thermophilic — that is, heat-loving.

I've often wondered if bugs could live in the atmosphere of Venus.

At a certain level, the temperature and pressure and gravity in the Venusian atmosphere are pretty much the same as those on Earth. It actually has the most Earth-like conditions anywhere in the Solar System, a few miles off the surface of Venus.

Constant circulation down into the depths would be enough to keep it sterile, I guess.

I thought this thread was going to claim that we were once either insects or a certain tasty crustacean that lives on the eastern seaboard of Australia.. :lay:

Lobsters? We call freshwater crayfish "mud bugs".
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Morten Bay, and Balmain, Bugs. Not sure what they are. They are freaky looking (and very tasty) things. Like a cross between a crab and a lobster.

OK I looked them up, we used to get something almost exactly the same in the Persian Gulf. Looked like a cross between a shovel and a lobcrab thing. They were really cheap and tasty.

”Next to the eukaryotes you will find the archaea, also single-celled organisms that are able to survive in extreme environments, such as near hot underwater thermal vents or oxygen-free wetlands. All evidence indicates that LUCA was a primitive form of archaea.”

We were archea!

A Ferrari was once rock and mud, before it was put together.

Humans are not all that impressive, unless you look at what they can do by loads of them specialising in different expertise, and then all working together as a team.

One man on his own would have fuck all chance of doing or producing anything impressive.
