"One in six Americans would ban books discussing evolution from school libraries" ... but reading on one in nine would ban the bible! I know it's slightly less, but hell, it's still pretty good. Keep it up, USians...

And the demographics suggest it's likely to improve...
According to a press release issued on April 12, 2011, by Harris Interactive,
agreement was more prevalent among respondents over 65 (26%), with
only a high school education or less (22%), and with a conservative
political philosophy (25%).

Technology will solve this problem.

The time of the brick-and-mortar library is nearing an end. In 5 years, most every book will be available online, and banning will be difficult.

When I was a kid, I think the figure was 1/3 of Americans thought that an admitted Communist ought not be permitted to speak publicly. I remember thinking, as a young child, that it was weird that people who said that we had free speech on the one hand could at the same time say that someone who admitted being a Communist did not have free speech. That has stuck with me my whole life. Since that time in the 1970s, I have known that many people are just really very stupid.

The old codgers are dying off, and none too soon. Of course, if we pass UHC we've got them around for a couple more decades, busy keepin' them evilootionists and socialists at bay while sucking the public tit dry to keep themselves in Depends and catheters. Global warming is breaking up the ice caps, not a bad thing actually. The more ice floes the more berths available on the "Arctic Retirement Cruise".

Or we could just go all Soylent on their wrinkled asses.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
