UPDATE, page is here:
http://www.rationalskepticism.org/rdf/
I'm currently thinking of setting up a simple webpage where everyone could submit their nickname, their real name (optional) and a comment about the RDF drama. To display the obvious on one single page for "maximum impact".
Think of it as a collection of signatures, something like a petition but not a petition, more of a complaint and (hopefully) eye-opener.
I wanted to ask you guys if it's worth the effort before I set up any domain...and speaking of which, any idea for such? http://www.rdf-drama.org?
I'm sure it'll have more effect if we could channel our frustration through one single page.
I'd even print it out, sign it and send it to RD in the name of all members that participated.
Thoughts?

Re: How about a collection of signatures?
I think this is a really good idea. Somewhere where the community can say: this is what you've done! These are the people you have truly hurt.

I was thinking more along the lines of an open letter.... but I think the goals are the same.
I'll write something if you set it up!

If someone is willing to write a short statement I'll post it, I'm not that eloquent in English :/

Re: How about a collection of signatures?
I've just set up a quick page:
http://www.rationalskepticism.org/rdf/
Go ahead and submit
Submission works as for now, I might add some spam routines if it gets abused...

It could do with the ability to break paragraphs a bit. My post was reduced to a wall of text. I might as well post it hereL
Hi, I am thoroughly disappointed that such a community, providing support, reason, and humour, could be so blithely dismissed. The forum has become a home for many of us, and the friendships and comradeship garnered is not to be thrown away lightly. Considering the goals of the foundation, the forum was a beacon in the dark, and a valuable resource for education.
This action has marginalised the efforts of many people who gave of their time and effort in defeating unreason and providing a safe haven for like-minded people, and for those who were in the process of shedding their inculcated belief systems. I am sure that it is believed that the new discussion board is the way forward, but as has been stated many times in the past, beliefs are the eyelids of the mind.
That such decisions could be taken with no consultation or consideration for the community that has played such a massive part in the furtherance of the foundation's goals calls into question the very essence of what the foundation is supposed to be about.
Organising atheists has often been compared, not least by yourself, to the herding of cats. The forum achieved this on a truly galatic scale, yet this organisation has been thrown away with no consultation whatsoever, and with no regard to the contributions to reason and science that the forum represents. Further, that the forum could simply be deleted, with no real means of saving the content, smacks of the kind of disregard for history usually reserved for those whose efforts your work is supposed to be fighting.
A good night's work in the name of unreason has been done here, and the creationists are crowing with glee. The foundation should change its name henceforth to the 'Richard Dawkins Foundation for Risibility and Silence'. Only thing is, we won't be silenced. This has been, and will continue to be, a PR nightmare for the foundation.
Please reconsider.

I'm on 1680x1050 and I still have to scroll across because it doesn't fit on one page.
Thats just cosmetic though, no big deal.
