Either he's been deleted (by you know who) or he has left. He's missing from one of the threads I posted on.

Finally made it. Just lucky that I looked yesterday and found the PM (two actually) directing me over here.

Excellent!

we are limited to one PM a day at RDF, sorry if you have been missed in the notifying chaos :flowers:

edit: looks like PMing is back to normal

in that case I'll leave it to those with broadband to notify more people

Welcome. :td:
There is also another site that the refugees have started up: http://www.rationalskeptisism.org which seems to gathering strength. We owe a lot to Ratz here and we are grateful for their tolerance with us interlopers but now that I'm here (as well as ratskep (and the other place), I might as well contribute to both. I think many of us feel that way.

Thanks for the welcome.
I have joined over there was well (you are the third to point me to it - good to see it being passed on like that.) Not sure what I will do just yet. I am leaning toward trying to make ratskep my new "home" forum, like RD.net was. But for a time at least I think I will try both out.

RDF kind if reminds me of the Titanic. I wonder if they will ever raise it again.
Just because more people believe Jesus is the son of God and not the son of Satan does not make it any truer.

Hi - another RDFugee

Post by Shuggy » Sun Mar 21, 2010 9:24 am

Hi. Not sure if I'll give up RDF but I'm pretty disillusioned by the manner of closing the forum. (even more having just read a detailed account of the behind the scenes activity - is that a generally-agreed account?). We'll see how we go.

--------------

Atheist from birth here, but I had a flirtation with Eastern mysticism in the early '80s which gave me some different glasses from which to view things and did me no harm (good to help a borderline Aspergic relate better to people). But in the end, far too much of it is a) just another religion or b) New Age woo woo.

Something I would like to see is a clear explanation from a modern liberal Christian deist of what the "Ground of all Being" God means (if anything).
