Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

Three options:

"Don't post stupid things on Twitter or Facebook when drunk"

"Don't post stupid things on Twitter or Facebook"

"Don't post on Twitter or Facebook at all"

Me, probably. :nervous:

Can wrap it up in one option. Don't use your real name on social media
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Go get your copy of Writing Books for Dummies for Dummies and get to work.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Some friction came up with a Ratz yesterday and today. Since I am apparently lecturing, and none of this has anything to do with her, I will continue here. I am lecturing about the nature of the Internet as a social media thing.

Not commenting on the ongoing thread, I was just reminded that the Internet really is a strange place to meet people. I have met a few ratz in person. I met Pappa , Rachel and Gawdzilla about 10 years ago. Also Bella. it was shortly after their...Vegas?...on line wedding.

Just sitting around talking to people, you got almost none of what you get here. We had a few RD forum people and in the US at the three or so St Lousis meets at a time when coming out as atheist was a new thing. But not knowing names, I would have had a hard time matching people to their on line names. But of course we all introduced ourselves.

FBM, also known as Former Buddhist Monk, was teaching English in Korea, forever. I know his first name. we had greasy burger lunch with Gawdzilla, him and a Ratz from Illinois who drove to the meet. I have about 35 Ratz still as friends on FB.

Will I ever meet Ratz outside the US? Maybe. Only the UK is on my list of places to go next 5 years. Other than Finland where I had no Ratz friends. I had one, she blocked me long ago.

We'll definitely have a meet in an Edinburgh pub (or two) if you make it this far.

You make me want to go, I still have to overcome the aversion to getting sterlings, and to find a good method not to get notes from minor banks that nobody will accept palmed on me...
