Neither Scot Duchy's nor DaveDodo's opinions are particularly sensible to put it mildly, but being given warnings for them is just more demonstration for me that ratskep is run by a bunch of out of control prefects with swagger sticks. Even if I did agree with some of the weirder aspects of the increasingly Byzantine forum rules, the arbitrary interpretation and selective application of them stinks to high heaven. To me that forum reminds me of Golding's novel Lord of the Flies, but with this difference: Here the good guys are kicking the shit out of the arseholes any which way they can.

Yeah...it's just I was surprised to see Dave eagerly anticipating the end of his suspension and gearing up to be the troll that ratskep needs because I don't remember much about him, then I saw what he'd got suspended for and well...I think I've possibly trolled better than he has at times during my 4 years there and I'm not even a troll.

Yeah, I agree. If you defend an unpopular position vigorously and refuse to concede "defeat" merely because others think they have "won" the debate. Then they get upset if you don't accept their specious logic and self-serving and irrational arguments, and when you challenge their preconceptions and their ideology with logical arguments that they don't happen to agree with.

That's what happened to me. I wouldn't toe the party line and roll over which pissed people off so they had to call me a "troll" to get rid of me even though I wasn't trolling, I was just defending my position.

I think that is the nearest I would ever come to understand the whole trigger warning stuff, it is like an old memory suddenly surfaced and she lost it. She just seemed to be the typical ratz member then when the A+ stuff come out she totally changed. I never met her in real life just on here, she ended up being banned from the A+ forums (quelle surprise.) I personally hope she comes back here, she will get as much support as an online community can give, which unfortunately isn't very much. She will find us welcoming and not so rabid as we make out (our bark is worse then our bite aka we don't bite.)
