Looks like the forum is still down so I don't know if there have been further developments, but basically a thread derailed into a discussion on tattoos and piercings and Scot decided to go on one of his rants where he basically accused such people of being subhuman (not his exact words but you get the gist of it). Rachel Bronwyn told Scot that his comments are a bit shitty and since she was part of the category of people he was abusing, she didn't really appreciate the comments he was making. He then went on to call her a prude or some shit, Fallible tried to tell Scot to stop with his incoherent babble, and Scot just went nuts abusing everyone.

The mods decided to temporarily ban Scot for 24 hours to wade through the bullshit to figure out if he needs a warning and, inexplicably, Fallible as well. I'm not sure what reasoning they had for Fallible as she was calm and didn't break any rules so I assume she won't be warned for anything.

As for the "85% woman, 100% cunt" observation, the second half of the observation is self-evident, the first part is a reference to dutchy's claim that he is trans gender because a test he took online years ago labeled him such. It was for ridiculing Dutchy for this absurd pronouncement that led to Mr.Samsa's month long suspension last year.

You missed out the best bit: Scot brings up this factoid regularly in discussions so that he can make sexist and misogynistic comments. His reasoning, as he says, is "I can't be sexist, I'm 85% woman!".

My warning for that was bullshit as I wasn't even trying to wind him up, it was just a flippant comment where he said something like he's never been banned from the forum and I suggested that maybe the mods were taking pity on him because he was 85% woman. Then I was warned for gender discrimination and bigotry...

It's mightily entertaining seeing you, Stijn and Samsa making exactly the same accusations and case against the current crop of mods that I and others made against you. I do grant that the current lot are of an order worse than you lot, but the irony is still fairly thick...

From what I recall, most of the "inconsistency" was differences in opinion over how the forum should be moderated. I can vouch for Fallible though in that it certainly wasn't an echo chamber of agreement amongst the mods and if you were viewing inconsistencies in our actions, then more than likely we were having multi-page arguments behind the scenes over it.

Just to update you Samsa, both Scot and I are back. I'm happy to report that I did not receive a warning. I'm perplexed to report that neither did Scot, despite making countless inflammatory remarks and several personal attacks. Of course the offending posts have now been removed from view, so they can't be re-reported or used in any way to question this decision.

Meh, I've given up trying to make sense of what they do. My best guess after watching their responses to Scot's crap is that he's been whining on for months if not years now that there is a secret group of nasty women who want to bring him down, and who coordinate their efforts in this regard via PM. If any one of those nasty women gets involved in an altercation with him the mods seem to react by throwing the baby out with the bathwater, ie. they treat the nasty woman to whatever Scot gets, whether they've actually violated a rule or not. I assume they've bought his fibs about a secret cabal and think they're being fair by sanctioning people for not breaking any rules, because they must be being nasty to Scot in some way they can't see. Funnily enough, Scot behaves in exactly the same way towards theists as he does towards these women and gets himself warnings and suspensions without the theists getting anything. Poor old Scot doesn't understand why he can get away with his trolling and personal attacks with one subsection of the forum but not another. Just my opinion, obviously.
