Red herring. The point is that there are clear cases of female pay disparity in private companies without set wages. You claim it is "shit negotiating". Occam's razor says it's much more likely that women are still discriminated against in some areas as they have traditionally been discriminated against for most of our social history.

There are "cases" of female pay disparity in private companies (and in government employment, too) without set wages (and with set wages). Sometimes a woman is paid less than a man. But, there are also cases of men being paid less than other men, and men being paid less than women.

The data, however, today is that there is no real difference when comparing like jobs to like jobs.

When I was a young pup, I was hired at the same time as another guy who graduated my same school. He had about the same GPA as me, and the same degree. We were the same age, and neither of us had any experience at all. We were both new hires. I discovered that I was paid 20% more than him. You know why? They needed me, and when they made me an offer I came back to them and said I needed more money because I had another offer. They met my salary demand.

Occam's Razor doesn't apply here, because neither explanation offered -- that any disparity is not as a result of sex discrimination vs. disparity is a result of sex discrimination - is more complex than the other. Occam's Razor is a rule of thumb, not an argument.
