I think I'll start a thread at Ratskep making shit up about Rationalia and see how many Rationalia-types take offense...

Actually, you need to start a derail from an existing thread for parity. I won't take offense, unless you really, really want me to... like want me to enough to pay me.NineOneFour wrote:I think I'll start a thread at Ratskep making shit up about Rationalia and see how many Rationalia-types take offense...
Look, at least you have a chance to defend the reputation of RatSkep against any misconceptions here. That's an opportunity.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

You can't cause as I understand it is against your rules to talk trash about groups where your own members are a part of.NineOneFour wrote:I think I'll start a thread at Ratskep making shit up about Rationalia and see how many Rationalia-types take offense...

But as long as you have a membership here, you are one of us, so it cancels out.leo-rcc wrote:You can't cause as I understand it is against your rules to talk trash about groups where your own members are a part of.NineOneFour wrote:I think I'll start a thread at Ratskep making shit up about Rationalia and see how many Rationalia-types take offense...
Or you could trash talk Rationalianology as a dangerous and silly cult. You won't get in trouble with RatSkep, but our inner circle will brand you as a Suppressive Person.

So one thread that has an unusually large number of non-regular members arguing humourlessly about RatSkep has caused you to reject the whole of Rationalia and its membership?![]()

I'll admit to bringing up the bit about not being able to call teabaggers teabaggers, but that wasn't dome in a mean spirit nor was it meant to dis RatSkep as a whole.Thinking Aloud wrote:Don't recall any misanthropes dissing ratskep, so no.NineOneFour wrote:Kind of like misanthropes dissing ratskep, yes?Thinking Aloud wrote:Wow, nice first post in five months!Made Of Stars wrote:Wow, nice thread.
