1. Durro posted with good intentions on ratz. Good for him. I thank him warmheartedly for his warning. It potentially saved ratz a lot of harm and he did it knowing that he would likely get twaddle from ratksep renegades. So well done Durro. I would do the same were the attack on us not them. So I agree with you there.
I should have made that clear to durro in my post above.
2. The conversations taking place in the open are a good thing for ratz members. It lets them see the raw personalities involved. So I don’t want them hidden. But rainbow deliberately manipulated durro by posting his rant openly ‘at’ durro. Durro fell for it. Bad for him, good for ratz. Personalities and viewpoints get to be ‘seen’.
3. De-rails are the great strength of rationalia. They are usually as interesting and often more interesting than the original thread. So I would disagree with you there. Long live the de-rail.
4. Yes there are members here who will take every opportunity to abuse mods (justly or unjustly) at ratksep (and other members of ratskep). Good, such posts are the strength of rationalia. Allowing twats to post twattery makes them conspicuous. It’s better to know where the twats are and the level of their twattery.
The rationalia view, “ ‘post what you want’ and it’s content will determine your worth.” is it’s glory.

even the derails bit I agree (some of the best threads ever have been nothing but massive derails) but the serious stuff forum specifically has a request for no derails, just so there is one part of the site where people can expect straight-forward discussions. Of course nobody is going to be banned for derails, they'll just be split.
