So, am I right that the hullabaloo is about a woman who wore a t-shirt that said she isn't a skepchick, or a woman skeptic, she's a skeptic? Did someone really make a big deal of this? I didn't see any of the articles, except what T-foot wrote through the link above.

Did one of the Skepchicks really have to cancel her appearance or cut it short because of that t-shirt?

O.k. -- here is Paula Kirby's contribution dated July 1, 2012, one year after Elevatorgate. Folks may remember Paula as one of the women who did not fall into lock-step with the Skepchicks and their harassment brigade. She was lambasted by the Skepchicks hard and was made part of the Skepchick scorched Earth policy of engagement of dissenters. Over the last year, we've seen a number of Wars declared, generally involving a certain faction of the skeptic movement, led but not exclusively populated by, the Skepchicks.

There was the original action between feminists and Richard Dawkins:

Started by Dawkins when he made a hysterical, unprovoked attack on Rebecca Watson...

They went after Brian Dunning of Skeptoid

For doing bad science...

They went after Lawrence Krauss

For defending a child rapist...

There was the skirmish with Ann Althouse

They went after DJ Grothe of JREF and TAM

No, again it was Grothe who went after them by blaming them, without any evidence, for declining attendence at TAM.

There was the latest one against Dr. Marty Klein

Who completely misrepresented the incident he was writing about then went back and dishonestly edited his post.

Looks to me like the skepchicks are just women sticking up for themselves. I'm not sure why that infuriates people so much...
