Re: Abortion USA
Girls in NE be going to Colorado by Amtrak (comes here at midnight, whether E or W) or Greyhound
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng- ... very-state
Greyhound (free Wifi!) leaves 8:30 and gets to Denver 4:30. I assume once abortion clinics catch on to the schedule you can have the abortion that evening and then return the next morning. So you should be able to get aborted in 2 days and maybe use one day of vacation. Just call in on Fri and say you have a migraine. It will cost 100-200 dollars by bus and they take cash at the bus station if you book there. Oops, not Lincoln, there is not even a building, just a bus stop. Omaha you can pay cash.

Re: Abortion USA
I don't support this approach.
You're either willing to take a stand or not, and this is not.
We need people willing to openly defy the law.
Why? Because you're not helping enough people, because the law is happy to accommodate your "loophole" knowing it can handle the rest comfortably (ie the few willing to defy the law), because we don't have the support in the Bible Belt, and waiting for them to send reasonable representatives to Washington is insanity...
If we can't do this, then let's split and begin the work of isolating the enemy. California may lead the way.

Re: Abortion USA
Support what? That was just predicting what will happen. Governor Ricketts will call a special session. All but very limited medical conditions will be banned.

Re: Abortion USA
No, it's what's being talked about as an appropriate response. Helping women obtain abortions is important. But it's not how we should address their loss of rights.

Re: Abortion USA
Won't the wimmins rise up and use their 2nd amendment rights to perform post term abortions on those depriving them of their rights by way of molybdotherapy?

Re: Abortion USA
No Svarty, that's not going to happen. Nor are women going to be withholding their favours until the men relent. In fact, women's lives and the views of women in general are immaterial to this issue: they've not been invited to the table precisely because it is they who are on the menu.

Re: Abortion USA
Finland the same, 12 weeks. Defective fetuses up to 24 weeks.
8000-10000 a year. The need for abortion for those under 20 has gone down recently.

Re: Abortion USA
Actually abortion is already banned in states like Alabama, and there's no reason to think the temporary hold on trigger bans will last in places like Texas. So, the Supreme Court denies women have a right to abortion and we're not supposed to be upset because hey, some states may let them get one, and besides nobody accepts the right after 15 weeks?
How does that work?
If it were guns you'd be talking about shooting feds ffs.

Re: Abortion USA
What detail? Is the information incorrect?
Australia has widely varying abortion regulations from state to state. Why is that any different to our 50 states? Why is 15 weeks considered horrible if WE pass such a restriction (which the House GOP is proposing), but it's just fine and dandy for "civilized" Europe to have even more restrictive rules?
I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.

Re: Abortion USA
In Canada it is up to the doctor and patient as it should always be..
Nationally, abortion is legal through all nine months (40 weeks) of pregnancy, nevertheless no providers in Canada offer care beyond 23 weeks and 6 days.
There is NO abortion legislation just as there is not for a ingrown toe nailAbortion in Canada is legal at all stages of pregnancy, regardless of the reason, and is publicly funded as a medical procedure under the combined effects of the federal Canada Health Act and provincial health-care systems.
