Normal Person Mode

Post by cronus » Sun May 18, 2014 7:28 pm

I've lived and observed folks long enough to go into 'normal person mode' by taking a few IQ points out of my daily decision making. Great but it's like being drunk on a cliff edge. Most people think they are living sober on a cliff edge though. Where do you stand? :td:

A few feet back from the edge.

Quite a crowd gathering that way. Scared of living dangerously. :pop:

Rappelling down the cliff maybe.

Thus removing the cliff-edge from the equation very neatly. I applaud this audacious move, Sir.

You don't need to lower your IQ. Just do everything smiling, politely, and always try and make it sound like people are right, even when you are pointing out they are both dumb and wrong. Instead of "Dude, your report sucked, full of screw ups" switching it to "I noticed you were still working on QC, what do you need to help you get it finished" :) Works good where I work at least.
