Tough game against the tigers this week methinks....
We don't forget.
We don't forget.

Which is probably why she went unnoticed among a crowd of Christians.

We? You must be confident. Remember, "us" in victory, "them" in defeat.JimC wrote:We certainly have a tough one against Essendon on Friday night...
And didn't Essendon have a very un-PC nickname?

The Bombers... (gained after WW2, I suspect). Don't know if that's the one you meant, not very un-PC to me...klr wrote:We? You must be confident. Remember, "us" in victory, "them" in defeat.JimC wrote:We certainly have a tough one against Essendon on Friday night...

Wouldn't want to give a US sports team that moniker at the moment...
And no, not particularly confident, I consider Friday night's Cats vs Bombers match a very 50-50 proposition, given that both teams are undefeated at this stage in the season...

Re: The Aussie Rules thread
I was thinking of "The blood stained n*****s", which was a reference to the team strip. It was an unofficial nickname. I'm perturbed to read that club officialdom is (apparently) trying its best to write it out of history completely. Orwell would have understood.JimC wrote:The Bombers...
