Olympic Bid - Go Chicago!

Post by Elessarina » Fri Oct 02, 2009 10:11 am

So the venue of the Olympics for 2016 is decided today.

I have just seen the Chicago bid video .. I had to admit I had a bit of something in my eye..

It's here on the BBC website..

Don't do it, Chicago!

Years of disruption beforehand followed by decades of debt afterwards!

The IOC is a cruel and avaricious taskmaster...

I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled"

AND MERRY XMAS TO ONE AND All!

Ah....could you perhaps rig up all the flagpoles to display the Union Jack regardless of which nation actually wins an event?

You have to be incomprehensible if you want to fit in. :whisper:

Slur some things ("Did you SEE what she was wearing!") and slurp others (not naming names here.)

I believe Jim Croce had a few observations about Chicago as well ... :levi:
