I experienced some cognitive dissonance when I saw that score first on the BBC web site.
But at least Fergie still has a job ...

And with Liverpool losing 2-0 to bottom club Portsmouth, how much longer can Rafa hang on?

Interesting days ahead...
Game tomorrow is Wolves v Burnley.
Wolves' manager has come under some serious stick this week, for fielding a reserve strength squad against Man Utd and resting his 1st Team.
Burnley didn't and earned a valuable point at home. So, then he must realise that he's also put a LOT of extra pressure on his players to perform wonders against Burnley. It's a risky move, but if it comes off it will do his reputation as a canny and shrewd manager performing under a tight budget. If it fails, he's in the shit.
Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Burnley. It would make me laugh very VERY hard indeed.

In fairness to Man. Utd., they still have appalling problems with injuries, and it showed in the MOTD highlights just now. De Laet was the only recognised outfield defender playing today, and he's not exactly first-choice yet. Fulham did play very well though.

Fulham's problem has always been consistency, they can perform like this but then get beat by teams like Birmingham and Wolves.

Any particular scum? Only there seem to be almost as many teams that you refer to in that manner as teams that you support. Save me the trouble of checking the fixture list.
And come on you REDS!!!! Forest for an upset against Birmingham this afternoon!

I have a choice of three live games right now: FA Cup 3rd round replay (Liverpool v. Reading); African Cup of Nations (Zambia v. Tunisia); Coppa Italia (Juventus v. Napoli). Since ESPN has now been added to my cable package, it seems I'm going to have a couple of live games per day for the foreseeable future.

Ooooooh ...
Liverpool were leading 1-0 at home to Reading, but with Torres and Gerard off injured for some time. Then Reading equalised with a penalty deep in stoppage time. And now Reading have taken the lead with a peach of goal.
Serious upset on the cards now.

All over, 2-1 to Reading at Anfield. Who'd have thought it? The first time since 1959 that both Man U. and Liverpool have been knocked out in the 3rd round.
